The camera has better video in low light (night). I am really not seeing much difference between this and the standard indoor camera. I am not seeing enhance video, low light sight for color. The indoor cam plus is more expensive. For me, the extra money for the cam plus is not justified. I am getting similar performance from both type of cams. The indoor cam plus and the indoor cams are good products.

The Ring Indoor Cam Plus is Ring’s essential plug-in indoor camera, featuring enhanced image quality and advanced monitoring capabilities. It delivers Retinal 2K video with up to 4x Enhanced Zoom, allowing you to catch crisp detail even at a distance. Low-Light Sight provides true color video in the near-dark and sharp black and white detail in total darkness. The camera also features a removable lens cover for manual privacy control, along with motion detection, Live View, and Two-Way Talk.
Ring Community was launched to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our neighbors. This online forum is divided into four categories: Product Boards, Ring Updates, Tips and Tricks, and a Moderators’ Corner. I like it, given sale prices on previous version camera, it is sort of a hard choice to upgrade to this one but it has more features and will be supported for longer. Form factor is nearly identical, mounts in same way but privacy screen is different. I wish Ring would make or offer a low profile USB power adapter! The power adapter sticks out way far between the power adapter and cable.

However one downside is the video quality not much better than ringing indoor camera (1080p). Unless on sale, just stick with a non-plus variant.

Privacy shield works well, but the hinges could use some movement refinement. USB power cord is a good length for setting on top of furniture, but you may need a longer one if you plan to mount it high up on your wall. Overall a great indoor camera.
