It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regard to cable length. We recommend using a Ring 10 ft USB-A to Micro USB Power Cable for extending the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.). This is an extra-long 10 ft power cable for your Indoor Cam (2nd Gen). Use the additional 3.5 feet to help position Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) in hard-to-reach areas around your home, such as high shelves, walls, or ceilings.

Good basic home camera

The first one has been great to keep an eye on my two cats during the day. I decided to add an extra camera to my home office. The black works perfectly with my decor. I'm very pleased with the night vision and low light views. My cats always give the cameras a side-eye when I talk to them through the speaker.

Set up was easy and quick, menus are easy to read and figure out. The quality on the video feed is clear. The app itself works great. Can't really beat this.

I set it indoors in my window to monitor outdoors. It’s easy to setup and very reliable. You can find it on sale around for $30 to $35 bucks sometimes
