This is a great security device, especially if you do not want to make a permanent mount to your living area. Suggest buying an extra battery so you can swap out as one is charging. You get alerts over your cell phone and through the Ring App you can watch, listen and talk to anyone at your door or in camera range. You can choose the alert sound you get over your cell phone anytime motion is detected.

I am renting so this was perfect for us. Our doorbell doesn’t work and this was a perfect solution. The video quality is really great and it was so easy to install.

Listen...I have seen a lot of reviews in which people are blaming this camera for not being able to see the packages on the ground. I get it but this not the Ring Stop Theft of packages device...it’s a peephole camera that monitors the people who come to your door...the fact of the matter is that if someone wants to steal your packages they are going to ...you only hope that they see the camera first and don’t want to be caught on camera...also $3 a month is not bad if you don’t have the alarm system. If you get the alarm system it’s $10 a month and as many cameras as you want for that price.

We moved to a new place that didn't have a doorbell or much security. So ring gave us both! With the peephole doorbell we can see everything in front of our house and in the parking lot where our cars are. We can also talk to anyone that rings it or may be passing by. We can also monitor the foot traffic or even ignore the solicitors that come through our place. Its great for keeping tabs on the kids too. And the installation instructions are so easy to follow. I would recommend though that you get a spare battery so while one is charging you have constant use of the product with no down time.

This doorbell camera is a fantastic option for anyone living in an apartment where you can't drill holes to install the typical doorbell cameras. This unit goes directly inside the existing peephole. It's great to see when someone nocks on the door or rings the doorbell, even if there's movement outside you're door. Great for keeping your packages delivered safe. The only improvement is that it could start recording 5 second earlier when detecting motion. Also, keep in mind that you'll need to pay $3/month to store any videos or access you're can while being away from home.

I needed this for peace of mind. It has given that & more. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to install it on my own, however it was like slicing cake; smith easy & fulfilling a sweet spot. I’m super proud of myself. I usually destroy everything I’ve tried to install or put together, I’m more than happy & it’s worth every penny I paid. WOULD RECOMMEND!!

Call me lazy or what not, but the peephole mounting is what sold me on it. Plus the current doorbell switch location isn't the ideal mounting location for the cameras field of view. Installation was a breeze and mounting is secure and solid... and ends up being fairly visually discreet. App and set up was easy to do and use and integration with Alexa is seamless. Monitoring functions are great, as with video capture and quality. Too early to tell how long it lasts on a single battery charge, but its easy and cheap to buy a back up battery to have on hand.

I moved into an apartment and I wabted something easy to install and also meet my needs . Thjs was perfect . It took me maybe 10 minutes to install which is actually great because I am not the best at fixing things . Great product .

I had an existing peephole - just had to rim it a bit. Very easy to install. I think the box Best Buy gave me had previously been opened because the magnetic tape was damaged and the shipping caps had been removed. Thankfully, Ring includes an extra tape and once install - it worked perfectly. Nice view - just can't see the ground - but can see all of the walkways and access to my front door. Liked it so much - I bought one for my back door.

I bought this during the Xmas rush. I’m glad I purchased it a a deal price but I would have paid full price. The peep hole video doorbell gives me a peace of mind, knowing that I can view 24/7 what’s going on outside. There are many features that come with the device as well as services you can purchase. Overall it was what I was looking for in providing that extra security.

I’m in love, works good.. easy use.. the peephole was a little difficult because the hole had to be really deep.. other then that very good!

This peephole camera is very convenient when renting in an apartment complex with strict rules. It provides a low profile and high quality option for home security. Gives me peace of mind while sharing my living space with neighbors!

The entire Ring system is easy to install and even easier to initiate. Each of the elements does exactly what it is designed for. I strongly recommend consideration be given to Ring if a home based security system is desired.

Love it! My wife and I live In apartment with peephole but no doorbell. This was a simple and easy install that I did myself and it only took me a few mins. I love how I can use it as a normal peephole and still get notified when people are close to my door. It’s nice to have that security and it was affordable.

So far so good, I'm currently renting so this is a great option for those with a peephole on their door and are renting. Easy install and now I have a camera on my front door. As far as the software goes, it's a simple user interface and the option for someone to leave a message is super useful.
