It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. If your Ring Smart Lighting Pathlight Battery has stopped working, here are several troubleshooting steps to try:
1. Check the batteries - They may be dead, defective, or incorrectly placed. Try removing and reinserting them to ensure proper placement.
2. Verify the light is online in the Ring app - Check if the device appears as online in your Ring app.
3. Test the light in darkness - Pathlights have light sensors and may not activate during daylight if the light sensor is enabled.
4. Check motion settings - Verify that motion detection is enabled and sensitivity is set appropriately in the Ring app.
5. Check Group settings - Make sure your Pathlight is properly set up in a Group and that alerts are enabled for that Group. 6. Check your Ring Bridge - Ensure it's online, powered up, and not too far from the Pathlight.

We are saddened to read that the Ring Smart Pathlight did not meet your expectations and was returned to the retailer.

Ring Smart Lighting Spotlights are designed to shine 400 lumens on important areas of your home. Customers can expect one year of battery life under normal use (8-10 light activations a day at Level 8 brightness, and 20 second duration). Battery life is dependent on device settings, usage, and other factors. Brightness may decrease as battery life is depleted.
