Ring Pathlights are part of the Smart Lights line of products that strengthens your Ring of Security while illuminating your home and property. Ring Pathlights are motion-sensing smart lights used in multiples to illuminate paths and accent landscape features. Battery-powered, for easy no-wiring installation, Pathlights also add further motion detection reach. Ring Pathlights feature high-efficiency 80 lumen LED lights.

We understand how important it is for your Ring Smart Lighting Pathlight to work consistently and reliably. The Ring Smart Lighting Pathlight was designed to activate for motions or for the schedule you selected to help light up your yard and keep your home secure. We would love the opportunity to work with you to ensure your device is working as intended.

It sounds like your device is not powering on as intended. Ring Pathlights are part of the Smart Lights line of products that strengthens your Ring of Security while illuminating your home and property. If a battery-powered light can’t be found by the Ring App during setup, check the following:

Does the light blink twice when the light is powered up? If not, make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. Even if it looks correct, it’s a good idea to take them all out and put them back in again; sometimes one can get turned around.
You should also check for old batteries that may have run down or whether you have batteries of different brands installed. If you’re unsure if the batteries are fresh or if they are different brands, we recommend swapping them all out for new ones to ensure the best results.

Having peace of mind that your Ring Bridge has a strong connection is very important. As consumers we expect a product to perform at its best. Please know that we are here to take a deep look into everything and ensure that this gets resolved quickly. The Ring Bridge is designed to work in many environments to provide you with peace of mind and security. If you are having connection issues with your Bridge, you might want to try a reset.

If you try to reset your device, be aware of the following time frames:
Holding the button down for one to five seconds: This should force the Bridge into setup mode.
Holding the button down for six to 10 seconds: This is a power cycle/reset - This will cause the device to forget any of the settings previously saved and will force you to re-set up all the lights.

If you’re still having issues, try resetting your modem and/or router. To do this, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or model from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait 15-20 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait a minute or two for the internet to be restored.
Confirm that your internet has been restored by connecting another device to your wifi network and trying to access a website, then repeat the setup process. Hi there, I know it's important to get the most out of your home security devices. The Smart Lighting Pathlight Battery cannot use Light Schedules, but it can still be added to a Light Group if you have a Ring Bridge. Light Scheduling is available for our Solar Smart Lighting Devices. We understand where you are coming from, as this isn't the experience we want our users to go through. The Ring Pathlights are weather resistant and should have no problem being placed outdoors. Please know that we hear your concern and are here to help.

As with all weather resistant devices, it's important to ensure that all compartments are properly sealed after being placed outdoors. This way, the devices are properly protected from the elements.
