It’s a must have especially if you don’t wanna change the battery for a very long time. I installed it with 2 batteries 1 full charged and 1 practically dead at 4%. It was 330 when I hooked it up and when the sun went down at around 8, the battery was at 48%. From 4% to 48%. That’s quite a charge if you ask me. Charging at that rate you won’t need to be changing a battery for a very long time. Especially during the summer. Might change the settings to record more often.

This higher power solar charger keeps both batteries at 100%. Old smaller solar charger could not do this. Highly recommend this solar charger.

There was a time I use my cameras for a good solid 10 minutes and my battery went to 85. After a few hours of letting it sit in direct sunlight it went from 85 to 100. Highly highly recommended for anybody using ring battery powered cameras so that you would never have to take out the cameras at all I’ve had these cameras with the same battery connected to the solar panel since day one and I haven’t removed them at all

It is not a product those that are handicapped or elderly.
