I've placed it were it gets lots of sun to charge duringthe day . When I leave in the morning (which is still dark) it's not always on. For the price it should stay lit all night.

It sounds like you have some concerns with the physical features of the Ring Solar Security Sign. The Ring Solar Security Sign measures 12"H x 9.21"W x 1.67"D. Your sign detects changes in light to determine when to light up. If it's light out when you first switch it on, it won't illuminate until it gets dark. Your Ring Solar Security Sign needs a few hours of direct sunlight every day in order to have enough power to light up at night. Visit our support center for additional information.
