I love these Ring Spotlight cameras. They are so easy to use and work very well. I don't have to change the batteries very often because they have 2 batteries in each camera (you have to buy the extra one.) They go for months at my house without a battery change. The light is a plus, too...I can turn it on with my phone if I want to view something at night.

This Ring Battery light and camera makes for excellent security. I would buy two batteries for the device so that you don’t have to charge them every 1-2 month. You can use the camera with 1 battery but it will cause more work than it’s worth. Very easy install. No need for hardwiring. Just pick the location and screw it in! Ring App sets up the device automatically. Great pics and video clarity.

I have been using this camera for about a month now here’s my take on it: The Good: 1) easy set up-just screwed camera on the wall etc and its done. 2) one battery has descent life so far with average use, I still have over 70% life 3) easy to use app, has adequate features 4) night vision is descent, 5)live view is perfect, can communicate and be heard/hear well 6) motion zones can be extended far enough 7) price-I bought it on sale $30 off which was fair price The Average 1) motion detection and alarm do have a delay as much as several seconds sometimes, sometimes though is immediate 2) I’m not sure if time of recording is adjustable but it only records 30secs once it detects motions even though there could be actions continuing (again I’m not sure If I can adjust that time) 3) sometimes the motion detection works right on cue and sometimes it doesn’t pick up the motion (I did turned off one zone that had freq actions and that seemed to help a bit) 4) the app may need 1-2 more features added I m not planning to buy the extra space for recording, I think it comes with daily recordings which is enough for me. Overall it was worth my time and money, I feel good about leaving my place and still can have an eye and ear on it.

After listening to my friends experiences and the sales person at Best Buy we went with Ring. We could not be happier with the Ring camera For the following reasons: 1) It is easy to assemble and mount on the door frame. 2) Charging the outdoor battery is extremely easy and after a quick charge it will last 3 to 4 months before recharging. 3) The clarity of the camera is literally off the charts! We can’t believe how clear it is even with the night vision on with little to no assistance. Truly amazing. 4) when speaking on your cell phone the speaker on the camera is extremely clear both receiving and sending. 5) The two lights on both ends of the camera lens are very bright when activated by movement. No issues at all. 6) When we are away from home if somebody is at our front door, the unit will activate my cell phone and I can see them and talk to them hundred miles away, and yes, the quality is just clear as if I was in my home. No, I do not work for Ring. My wife and I are just too very satisfied customers if we could ready to six star we would.

Where do I start? I bought an original stick up ring camera with the solar panel. It worked ok. Some bugs but I loved the idea. I saw the pre order online for the spotlight battery / solar camera and fell in love! You download the app , connect it to WiFi ,install and that’s it! ( supposedly) I bought two cameras and two solar panels I loved the idea of not having to recharge the battery because the solar panel charged it. I downloaded the app , installed plug the solar panel. Then the problems began. 1.) Batteries are NOT fully charged mine came at 15% (both) 2.) video delay is horrible 3.) live view works 5 out of 10 times (maybe 4 of out 10) 4.) speaker makes weird noises outside when triggered by motion detection 5.) motion detection doesn’t always work 6.)LED lights sometimes turn on I ran the test and my WiFi connection is good I checked the sensitivity levels I positioned the camera at different angles and closer to the router. Nothing worked. I can rarely log in live view now. These cameras are expensive. I payed close to $500( and $10 a month to store videos on the cloud) for two cameras with solar panels I felt like the price would be justified if they saved me from the hassled of running cables all around the house but Ring failed miserably poor software and poor hardware. Awesome idea and concept but poor execution. Almost feels like a BETA. I contacted Ring and they already gave me an RMA # interestingly they did NOT ask why I wanted to return for a refund. They may have a no question asked if within 30 days or are aware of their bad and defective cameras. Now I have to pay to ship these cameras back to California from Illinois and wait for my money : / Please stay way from Ring.

      Hello 4Aces,

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear about your poor Ring experience, this is by no means the Ring experience that we intended for you to have. If you would be so kind as to contact me directly so that I can both follow up on your return as well as provide you with some additional options I would so appreciate it.

      I would appreciate your time.

The camera is great. The auto motion feature is easy and records in the cloud for easy playback. The wide angle lens basically shows the entire front yard and driveway and the light is strong enough to light up the whole driveway. Wish the battery lasted a bit longer but we got a full month before recharging. I may buy the 2nd battery which has a slot for it to make it last longer.

Easy to install on the corner of the house and since its wire free with the battery and solar pack, you charge the battery to full first day. Plug in solar charger and never worry again... Great reception even outside away from our router and instant detection when people pull in the driveway. Highly recommend.

We purchased this camera for our driveway since the home we purchased included a Ring doorbell pro camera. Setup and installation were fairly easy (however, it took 4 tries to get it to pair with the app over wifi). Video and audio quality were good and we really liked the infrared and spotlight features. However, at the time, we did not realize that the maximum recording time was only 20 seconds. Even with the retrigger time set to the lowest possible value, we were not able to get the full event recorded which could be crucial if something were to actually happen. We also found battery life to be poor. With the included single battery, fully charged before using, it was at 25% after one month. The dealbreaker was the low recording time and the inability to customize that setting in the app. We ended up returning this, unfortunately, as it did not meet our needs.

This was easy to install and gives s sharper picture than my Nest cameras do. It's really important to make sure there is a strong WiFi connection. I ended up putting a Chime Pro halfway from the router to the camera to make sure the signal was strong enough, which worked out really well.

Install was seemless with the Geek Squad! I've been having issues with several of my Ring cameras losing signal so the guys came out and worked with me to try and resolve the issue. I rated the product a 4 because of connectivity issues at times.

The good thing about this camera is that it’s easy to install. Just charge the battery and mount it outside. The alarm is ok. Not that loud. But annoying enough to get people’s attention. The night time light is decent. Has two modes, turns off when motion detected or you can just keep it on through the ring app. But since it’s battery powered, I would suggest just motion detection. You have to get pretty close for it to detract you for the light to come on at night. We have it on the back porch and we tested it by walking on the back porch and the light didn’t come on until we were half way to the door of the back door. We were hoping it would start detecting us right when we are coming up the steps on the back porch. We changed the settings range but still no luck. Has decent video quality. Has hard time connecting to the WiFi sometimes. We are always having to reconnect it even with a ring pro chime.

The Ring cameras are impressive in various ways. I used to be a Canary fan, but Ring is a top notch product. I have wired indoor cameras and the doorbell. I purchased these outdoor cameras and it was very SIMPLE to add on my account. The app is easy to navigate and add new cameras. I had no qualms to set up the cameras and the installation is easy as long as you have the proper tools. I connected the cameras to my WiFi promptly (just follow the step by step instructions) and they were set up within minutes. The picture quality is excellent, sound is great and the zoom feature is a plus. I highly recommend Ring products!

The camera quality is good, but it is not live. there is like a 5 second delay. But, it doesn't continuously record every motion like the video cam. it only records for 10 seconds after the first motion.

This product is great if you already have ring products. It links to your account easily and can sync with the other cameras you may have. Set up and install took less than 1 hour from start to finish. It has a great view range and it very clear. Extra bonus is the camera has a motion sensor light built in to it and you can use the app to set off an alarm or talk through the camera system as well. You will want to get the solar panel so that way you don’t have to worry about having to charge the battery at all. Only downside is that you can only watch about 30 seconds to a minute worth of video from the point where it initially picks up the motion. I would highly recommend this product because of the ease of install and use.
