Ring Stick Up Cam Pro has advanced features including: 3D Motion Detection with Bird’s Eye Zones and Bird’s Eye View, Audio+ for enhanced audio, HDR video, and dual-band wifi. The dimensions of the device are: 6.06 in. x 2.76 in. x 2.76 in.

We are happy to provide you with the installation instructions for the Ring Stick Up Cam Pro according to the specified mounting location.

Place your camera on a tabletop or shelf and look at Live View in the Ring app to make sure it’s positioned correctly.

If you’d like your camera to have a downward angle, swivel the base around so that the longer side of the base is facing the front and tilt your camera so it points downward.

Follow these steps for wall installation:
Remove the decorative cover from the camera mount.

Use a standard Phillips-head screwdriver (not included) to unscrew the mount and detach it from the rest of the camera.

Install the mounting plate.

Slide the mounting plate off of the camera mount.

Place the mounting plate on the wall with the UP arrow pointing up.

If installing on a wood surface, screw the plate directly into the wall.

If installing on a masonry surface, mark four screw holes using the plate as a guide.

Drill pilot holes using a 1/4" drill bit. Insert the included wall anchors, then drive the four mounting screws through the mounting plate into the wall anchors.

WARNING! Only use the included mounting screws when securing the mounting plate.

CAUTION! DO NOT drill into your home’s electrical wiring.

Mount your camera to the wall.

Screw the mount onto the back of the camera.

Slide the camera with its mount onto the mounting plate.

Tighten the security screw on the camera mount so that it’s firmly attached to the mounting plate.

Slide the decorative cover back onto the camera mount and click it into place.

Secure the battery cover to the camera with the security screw (optional).
Adjust the camera angle.

Rotate the camera to focus on the area of your choice. Look at Live View in the Ring app to make sure it’s positioned at your desired angle.

Follow these steps for ceiling installation:
Remove the decorative cover from the camera mount.

Place the mounting plate on the ceiling with the UP arrow pointing in the opposite direction from where your camera will face.

Slide the decorative cover back onto the camera mount and click it into place.


Secure the battery cover to the camera with the security screw (optional).

Adjust the camera angle.

Rotate the camera to focus on the area of your choice. Look at Live View in the Ring app to make sure it’s positioned at your desired angle.(153.9mm x 70.0mm x 70.0mm).

The Ring Stick Up Cam Pro is designed to work in many environments and provide a seamless setup process. Rest assured, we are here to provide you with a concrete resolution as quickly as possible.

The Ring Stick Up Cam Pro is designed to work with your home's wifi network and is compatible with b/g/n wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequencies. If you're receiving a 'Setup did not complete' message and cannot finish setup, it could be due to one of these common causes of setup failures:

* Your Ring device is too far from your wifi router. Ideally, your router should be within 20 feet of your Ring device.
* There's a possible problem with your internet connection.
* There's a possible issue related to your wifi modem or router.

Make sure your wifi router is off the floor.
Walls, floors, and furniture can interfere or weaken your router’s wireless signal. Choose an elevated, central, open location.
Make sure you're entering the correct password. Passwords are case sensitive and do not include spaces. Your network password can often be found on the bottom or side of your router.

Wifi passwords are case and special character (such as *,@,$, or #) sensitive. Double check letter capitalization and placement.
If you haven't changed your wifi password since your router was installed, it may be on a sticker on the underside of your router.
Connect other devices to your wifi network using your last remembered password to verify it is still correct.
If you have multiple networks or a wifi extender, confirm you are connecting to the correct one.
If you’re still having issues, try holding down the reset button inside the battery compartment of the camera for 20 seconds. Before you reset your device, make sure to download any videos in your account.

It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the optional Ring Protect Plan. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.

The Ring Stick Up Cam Pro was designed to capture motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to motion detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. You can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the 'Motion Frequency" to "Frequently."

Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."

Washed-out videos might be due to overexposure to sunlight. You can try adjusting the angle of your camera to improve the clarity. If you would like greater detail in the brightly lit areas of photos and videos taken by your Ring device, you can use the high dynamic range (HDR) toggle in your Ring app (available on select Ring devices).

It sounds like the Ring Stick Up Cam Pro is not operating as you expected. If your wired Ring security camera detects a Motion Event and you have a Ring Protect Plan, your device will record the motion for a set amount of time based on your video recording length setting. On most Ring wired cameras, the video recording length is set to Auto. The Auto setting makes your recordings smarter, enabling your camera to record when motion begins and stop recording when it stops detecting the motion. Motion can be recorded for up to 120 seconds with this setting. We suggest that you adjust the setting for video recording length in the Ring app by following these instructions:

In the Ring app, go to the menu and tap Devices.
Tap the device you want to adjust, then tap Device Settings.
Tap Video Settings.
Tap Video Recording Length.
To record for as long as motion is detected, choose Auto. The length of your recordings will vary with this setting.
For a fixed-length time, disable Auto and choose 50, 60, 90, or 120 seconds.

It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the optional Ring Protect Plans. The Ring Protect Plan is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for your Ring device. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account.

Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events. Visit our support center for more information.
