If your internet are not fast enough, it takes time to load the video but other than that, it works great for us and help us a lot for not being worried when we’re not home.

It works pretty good but it does report movement it it is snowing. Also get an alarm every morning when the rabbit goes through. That said we will be getting a couple more to monitor around the outside of the house. The cost to have it save your alarms to the cloud for 60 days is a very low cost.

Helps you sleep a little easier at night knowing you have eyes in the sky. We currently have 6 camera at many different locations. Very inexpensive yearly contract to keep the video recordings.

I was traveling a lot in 2023, and my 15-year-old cat stopped eating all of a sudden, causing him to go into liver failure. With one more trip to do, I got a camera to keep an eye on him as my pet sitter took care of him daily. It allowed me to even talk to him and get his attention. He recovered fully, and I'm glad to have a reliable and inexpensive way to keep an eye on my home.

These were purchased to replace another camera system I had that was failing miserably. App used to control them is pretty straightforward and set up was easy.

It’s easy to install and has great custom features to dial in exactly what you need. The only inter slight downside is the extreme wide angle lens. The very edges of the frame can be a little distorted.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. We are happy to share some troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and fix common video issues that you may experience with Ring doorbells and cameras.
Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable.
Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI. Turn off your mobile device's cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device. Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap “Devices.” Select your device. Trigger an event on your Ring device. This could mean pressing the button on a doorbell or activating the motion sensors on a camera. Answer the event and examine the resulting video.

1. The footage is crisp and clear.
If your video appears good when next to the router, the issue may be caused by a disruption in between your router and your Ring device’s normal location. To fix this, try moving your device closer to the router or extending your wifi signal with a wifi extender like the Ring Chime Pro.
2. The footage is heavily pixelated.
If you’re seeing heavy pixilation, even next to the router, this may be due to slow wifi speeds.

RING PROTECTION

It's really helped having Ring on the side of my house and at my front with the Ring doorbell.

Install and set up was simple and the power cord was longer than I’d anticipated. I will probably purchase the battery for back up power. I am very satisfied with this addition to my Ring system.

Notifications are timely and video clarity is what you would expect from a 1080p device. Personally would find having the ability to increase speaker volume helpful.

You can control the motion zones; however, it will pick up headlight reflections even though the zone does not cover the street area. Not a show stopper, but does give false movement at times. I would still recommend if you are looking for a good/reliable security camera.
