Having it plugged in provides more features like constantly having it take screenshots.

Only slight issue is for the price is should work better through windows but it does work through windows. Night time is a little rough. overall catches everything I neeed. I have a crazy neighbor and people try to break in cars where I live.

This camera is rock solid and acts as my gatekeeper to my property. Good night vision and excellent daylight vision. Easy to setup, maintains connectivity, and "never" needs charging!

I'm able to watch my apartment now while gone using my phone. The feed is clear, and I am able to enlarge the view easily. Also, I can have it record live while away. In the event that the thief, or another person ever returns, I will have what I need to press charges against him. The initial setup was a little tricky for me, but with support, I was able to resolve the issue in less than an hour.

I notified Ring and they sent a replacement. Because they were so good at helping me trouble shoot and when nothing more could be done…they just replaced it. I really appreciate that!
