You should be able to enjoy the peace of mind that Ring Stick Up Cam is designed to add to your home security. We completely understand the relevance of having your device online and connect to your wifi network, as this ensures you can access the camera to check on activity around your home anytime day or night.

Although they are rare, disconnects can occur and can usually be traced back to nearby interference or underlying network issues. Both of which are easily resolved with a few changes. A common solution to most network related problems is creating a guest network. You could then pair the Ring Stick Up Cam to the guest network to ensure the device remains online. Another thing to consider is wifi interference caused by a nearby object or material. Things such as brick, metal, stucco etc. can diminish a wifi signal as it reaches your camera. Do you happen to have your camera mounted on any of these surfaces? Additionally, network and environmental interference can contribute to the camera's ability to stream live video.

We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The Ring Stick Up Cam is an indoor/outdoor-ready security camera that can be used to capture out-of-sight areas and blind spots. It’s equipped with "Color Night Vision" and customizable motion detection. Just mount the wireless camera and adjust the viewing angle for wide coverage throughout the day or night.

Enable "Color Night Vision" in the Ring app to help improve clarity at night.

To turn the "Color Night Vision" on or off, follow these instructions:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the "Menu" (☰).
Tap "Devices."
Select the device you want to adjust.
Tap "Device Settings."
Tap "Video Settings."
Toggle "Color Night Vision" on or off.

We completely understand the relevance of having your four Ring Stick Up Cameras up and running, as this ensures you can be informed of activity around your home anytime day or night.

If your Ring Stick Up Cam is not responding to any activity, and you've ensured the device is receiving power, a hard reset may be needed. To complete the reset, please hold the setup button down for 15 consecutive seconds and then release. The camera will take about one minute to complete the reset. Please allow a couple of minutes to pass and then attempt a brand-new set up within the Ring app.

Our top priority at Ring is to ensure that you have devices you can rely on long term for your home security. Based on your review, it seems that you are not fully satisfied with your Ring Stickup Camera. The Stick Up Cam uses infrared motion capturing to detect motion, within its field of view. You can use the Ring app to determine the Stick Up Cam’s motion detection range and the specific zones where motion will trigger a smart alert. These settings help ensure that the Stick Up Cam will capture the events you want to see and ignore the ones you don’t. Rest assured, there are some things you can check in order to improve the audio performance on your device. First, make sure the external volume is up on your mobile device (on the device where you're viewing your Ring videos or Live View). Poor wifi can often cause Ring device issues, including with recording or capturing audio. If your Signal Strength (RSSI) is amber or red, your Ring device likely has a poor connection to your location's wifi. Try moving your wifi router closer to your Ring device.
