I can hardly imagine what it was like before my ring doorbell. It’s an essential part of my home and security. It works flawlessly and I am able to see who is at my door no matter where I am with the ability to speak through my phone. Great for security and monitoring my packages. I love it.

I love the Ring Doorbell. It makes me feel a little safer at home. I love having the ability to see what is going on outside of my home, even when I am not there. The only problem I have had it trying to get the motion zones set so that I don't pick up cars just driving by. That has taken a lot of trial and error.

Camera is clear, easy to install. Product states battery will last 6-12 months before needing charge. I am at 49% after 2 weeks. I will not come close to that time frame

I hesitated getting this device for months because I didn't have a wired doorbell. I was nervous about installing it and then having to charge the battery too often. No problem with the installation, took maybe 15 mins, and the battery last a very long time. Also, the app allows you to see the battery levels so you can prepare to charge the battery.

We needed to upgrade our old doorbell and loved the security aspect of the Ring doorbell. Works great and extremely easy to install.

After a month of use, I can say this doorbell works great. Install was a breeze. I just used the supplied hand tools and one of the wedge mounting plate to angle it away from the sidewall. There's an additional wedge plate to angle downwards if your door goes up a few steps. Both plates can be used in conjunction to angle the Ring doorbell horizontally and vertically, which is nice if you need to angle both inward and downward. If you're mounting it to brick/concrete, you are going to need a drill and use that drill with the supplied bit. Setup to connect to the Ring was done through the app and connected to it without any issues. The wide angle lens produce a decent image when viewed on the phone. Not as crisp as I thought it would be for a 1080p lens, but I can see everything including part of my neighbors house and my mailbox. One very minor setback of the wide angle lens comes into play at night time. My Ring is mounted adjacent to the brick wall around my door, so when the infrared kicks in for the night vision, theres a glare coming off those bricks. Though, I believe you'd still be able to see the person standing in front of your door, I would suggest not mounting next to a wall if you do not want the annoying glare.

It took a bit of fiddling to get the motion detection properly tuned so that it wasn’t going off for every car, or not going off at all. Once we got it dialed in, it’s been a great product overall. The big exception - Halloween night. Pretty much everyone's Ring was offline due to scalability problems with their platform. Here’s the thing - they run the operation out of Amazon Web Services. Folks go to AWS so they can do things like have elastic scale for super high volume times like this. My take is they just cheaped out and didn’t put enough capacity online. Hopefully they learn from that.

The product has great video quality and the battery lasts for a long time before requiring recharge which only takes a few hours.

I couldn’t be happier. Set up was quick and very easy and adjusting parameters was easy also. My wife loves it and feels even more secure with us having this. She can’t believe we can answer the door from anywhere in the world! If you want a doorbell and security camera that puts your mind at ease then this it!

This doorbell that works great and is easy to install. The battery has lasted well over a month without recharging. The setup was simple and it looks great on the house. Only downsides so far is unusually high motion warnings when there isn't anything there. App shows street and trees are not in sensor area but it keeps seeing something.

For some time I have wanted to be able to see what is happening around my home and to see who is at the door, especially at night. I have bought other surveillance systems, only to be overwhelmed when trying to set them up. After trying several others, I gave up trying to get them to work. I expressed my disappointment when talking to a best buy employee who told me about the Ring System. I was able to install this, set it up and begin using it from the first day. This is a five star in my book!

I love the ring. Such clean video and long lasting battery. Only down fault is my flag always sets off the motion detector.

My doorbell faces a one way street that gets busy at times. I have the motion sensor turned way down but it still manages to see the school bus, box truck or SUV that passes by. Video quality is great, even at night, battery lasts two weeks easy, despite recording a lot of vehicles going by. Very happy with my new doorbell.

Very simple to use. Installation was easy as well. It allows me to know when my kids get home, deliveries are made, etc. One thing they DONT tell you: after one month, you have to pay $30 for the year to be able to watch your videos. It will only store for free for one month. Keep that in mind.

I really like this doorbell! It's pretty easy to set up, the video quality it good, and the battery tends to last up to 2 weeks (depending on how much activity it detects). Be aware: after 30 days, you will need to buy a $30.00 a year package to be able to view your videos.

We have a home security system, but have old fashioned doorbells. Adding the Ring doorbell 2 to our home is amazing. The Ring app on my iPhone is easy to use and I have shared with three family members. Shared users can view history, live view, answer the doorbell rings, but cannot delete history. Videos are clear day and night. You can zoom in, but the video becomes pixelated. You can post videos and view other Ring videos in the nearby incidents of the Ring app. Responses from other Ring owners have been very helpful, but there is always the one sarcastic ring owner. Nearby incidents have helped with a nearby coyote, strangers and solicitors. After 30 days you have to decide on 1 of 2 Ring yearly paid plans or none at all, but you can’t review video history if you do not pay for a plan. I picked the lowest cost plan at $3 a month as I only have one Ring doorbell. Is the doorbell and app perfect, no, but it works and my family uses it everyday.

I needed a battery version. Ring 2 is the best. Works anywhere. Works great. Let me know when someone is around.

I bought this to replace my existing hardwired doorbell. The Hardware install was SUPER easy. Every thing I could need and then some was there. Love it. The actually configuration of the device was more difficult. The software installed easy on my phone and the install went great until I got a message saying that the doorbell was connected to the network and it was doing other configuration that could take a bit. That part hung. I attempted a second install and got the same result. I exited out and tried to use the doorbell anyway and it worked. I'm not sure what the bug is but there seems to be something in the app or software that is getting hung up. The camera is very clear but the speaker is a little muffled. Also, there seems to be a good delay from when there is motion to when I get a notice on my phone. Today, I watched the Fedex guy walk up my sidewalk and leave a package and I didn't get a message saying motion was detected until he was 30ft from the house on his way to his truck. I did check the history and there is a great video of him approaching the door, putting the box on the step and walking away which is what is important to me.

Great piece of mind for the money. Very easy to install and even includes all tools needed. Nice to know what happens at your front door when not at home. Works great with existing chime and when wired you don’t have to charge. Would recommend to a friend!!!
