The camera is pretty nice but is slow to activate sometimes. The recordings on the app sometimes have parts which are unavailable for viewing which is weird. The installation was easy to do. Overall, it's a pretty good camera. However, you do need a subscription plan if you want to review past videos and recorded events so if you don't want to pay a monthly fee, this is not the camera for you. In my opinion, the camera is pretty much useless without the subscription because you can't access the recorded movements without it.

We had a Ring Doorbell 2 at our old house and had to leave it there for the buyer. I was excited about the new features on the Doorbell 3 Plus and decided to take the plunge for the extra money over just getting another Doorbell 2. I love the better clarity of the picture and also enjoy the 'pre-roll' feature. An added, surprise benefit is that the battery life is much better than our old Ring 2, so it was a win win for us. Highly recommended!

The set up and installation was easy. It came with the drill bit and necessary screws. Took me less than 10 minutes to set it up. The instructions were simple and straight to the point. Make sure you adjust your settings to save battery life if you choose the wireless option, it does drain alot of you are in a high traffic area. The app needs work if you have an Android device. Sometimes it doesn't capture the motion in certain areas even after adjustments. Nothing is perfect

I love the HD quality video, immediate video response on my phone and with Alexa when the device is activated. The night vision is clear and audio is clear. If I had one complaint it would be the oblong camera view that gets amplified with distance from the camera. I have a large front entry so the view Is a little different compared to other cameras around the exterior of my house. I did my research so this camera has a reputation for reliability and quality.....so far so good....would recommend.

We did not have a security system, doorbell or any other cameras outside monitoring activity. The Ring was easy to setup and install, and now provides a doorbell and camera, which gives a level of security. The camera has a good quality video, is customizable, and helps keep tabs on what's happening, especially with so many deliveries. Very happy with the purchase and going to add more Ring items shortly.

Works great, expect a bit for battery to charge, good video and app, struggling with sensitivity settings still.

This ended up being our start to an entire security system and “smart home”. This is a must have for any house, especially when more and more packages are left at our door step. It doesn’t say it on the box but this comes with two face plates; a silver and a dark brown/bronze. Ring will also send you a code for a free faceplate from their online store after you set up your account.

This device has changed my world. Now I can see who is at my door without getting up and see my deliveries while at work. Also with the Ring network, neighbors can share what’s going on in the community. It was easy to install on my front door frame. Only needed was a small drill and a screwdriver. The picture and sound are top notch.... I’m so glad I got this investment

Great product. Had a previous version and camera on this model is much clearer. Love the pre-roll feature. Often on my last version for example I might just see the delivery driver walking away by the time the recording started. Get the yearly subscription to save videos to the cloud. Great deal and gives us peace of mind.

My wife has been wanting one, so we finally got one. Love the picture quality and easy to use app. There is even a neighborhood feature that lets you post things like suspicious activity in your area and viewable by other ring owners in the area. Like having a few extra eyes looking out for your stuff. Great buy definitely recommend to anyone else.

This little device is worth the money. Easy to setup and maintain. It is used to keep our son safer in his apartment by seeing what is happening on the other side of his door without him opening it or using that tiny hole. We did buy a backup battery unit so when it runs low it is a quick switch without any downtime.

The box contained clear and easy to use directions. I was a little reluctant to hardwire it, although I should not have been. It was extremely simple and I did not electrocute myself. So, there is that. Picture quality is superb.

I’ve had an original Ring Doorbell for a few years now, unfortunately the non-removable battery does not last very long, and decided to finally upgrade to version 3. I was excited about the “pre-roll” footage and my original sometimes would completely miss delivery drivers if they ran up and tossed packages. The pre-roll *mostly* works, it is in black and white but it seems to freeze on a frame before it switches to color, which will give you a gap of a second or 2 between switches. This version has a removable battery (and the ability to add a solar charger to not have to remove the battery to recharge), but I think I’ll just get an additional battery to swap out when this battery doesn’t hold a charge long, which I don’t expect will happen for a while. It also comes with a black face place and the silver one, I opted for the black one to be a bit more noticeable against my door.

Item arrived on time. Easy assembly, just follow step by step instructions on ring app. All tools needed are included. Perfect door camera with good and easy to use features. For useful features like pre-roll videos, need to get ring monthly subscription but is cheaper than others in this market and is totally worth it!

Works reasonably well on the limited DSL service available in this area. Video quality is excellent, audio is adequate, and WIFI connectivity is reliable. Battery life is disappointing but adequate if a spare battery is purchased and on standby. Notifications are received reasonably timely and there are an adequate number of options for sensitivity adjustments.

I really recommend the Ring doorbell to anyone. Easy installation. The video is clear and we have been so happy with the ease of use and changing out the battery is a snap. Highly recommend this product.

We purchased this for my parents as a Christmas gift! We have one at our house and they loved ours! My dad is enjoying it! He looks to see who is at the door (with COVID) and speaks to them through his app and never has to come face to face with them! It's given them an extra piece of mind!

Love the Ring Doorbell. Gives me comfort knowing I can see when someone is at my door whether I am home or out of the house. I can speak with the person without opening the door! I would recommend The Ring to anyone looking! The Geek Squad set it up for me, they are awesome!!

Easy installation. I jury-rigged the unit to the frame with duct tape on the interior because I saw that some thieves were just stealing the battery or the whole thing. Now they will have to unscrew 5 screws to take the unit. I bought this as a deterrent. Living in an urban area with a fairly open entrance to my front door, I'm hoping to dissuade the porch pirates. I like the ability to tune into neighborhood postings although it has increased my anxiety level. Notices are somewhat uneven. I will probably bite the bullet and sign up for their monthly program BUT I've seen that the "culprits" are pretty adept at disabling the camera by simply putting a piece of blue painter's tape over the lens. It seems the word's out!
