This ring works amazing to let you know when someone is at your door even if they don’t ring it

I love my doorbell. This is actually the second one. It does everything it’s supposed to as expected.

Excellent color video quality. Being able to adjust the size/area of your yard that will trigger the Ring motion detection is a great feature. The main power source is the lithium ion battery, the hard wire only serves to charge the battery. So far no issues with primary battery power in temps down to 9 degrees F.

The install was easy, picture is great and I love that the doorbell had the flat and angled view attachment included.

We love having the camera and seeing the videos that it records. Wish they would have let us know you have a 30 day trial for videos. After that you have to have a subscription. 30 days was up yesterday so we had to buy a plan but it still won’t let us see videos from the 30 day trial. That is very disappointing

I have used this for 3 years now. Battery life is not the best but that is due to my settings (longer recording). My advice is buy an extra battery and keep it charged to swap! Crystal clear picture and it saved me a police report when it chimed that my truck was being broken into!

Easy to setup; Very clear but lags at times .. the motion alert sometimes come too late .. it could be that my device is installed on brick which can cause some interference. I do have high speed internet which is located right near the door ... would most definitely recommend to get an extra battery ;

The best choice ive made thus far was purchasing my ring! The device works fantastically, clear footage the knly thing i will recommend is getting an extra battery so that your cam isnt down whole battery is charging!

Our original Ring Doorbell 2 finally failed. Had to replace with an Updated Ring 3 Model. This fits my original placement. No new holes required. Replaced and set up easily.

So far so good. Easy to install. Battery lasts about a month . It will probably drop when it gets cold a bit. I recommend buying another battery because charging takes forever.

The ring doorbell 3 is great and easy to install. The camera quality is great and happy with the purchase. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to buy a doorbell camera. It has two way talk audio, you can set the sensitivity and since I hardwired mine I never need to charge the battery and works with my current doorbell chime. Buying the ring chime is not necessary. Although If you have an older home like mine I did need to buy a new transformer for my doorbell chime to work with the ring doorbell as my transformer was super old and not compatible with smart or video camera doorbells.

I love that the not wired ring doorbell can be easily installed anywhere. I prefer that option since I can use it elsewhere for example: back patio, side door entrance, garage, etc. The camera itself has great video quality in the daylight. Quick connection to the actual device once notification is received of the ongoing activity at the moment. Even if you log on and it says Live View it will still record that moment. You don’t want to miss anything important. (I also use other brands of security cameras which I really like, but they can be delayed to connect to, and notify you moments after the activity has begun.) BUT even with Ring there are movements it does not record at all. If it does record it will be for 20 seconds and then stops. Quite a few times it has detected moving plants against the wind, and it has kept recording for 10 minutes. How much movement it is detecting will determine the battery life of each device. With that said, having my front doorbell secured to our front entry door to our apt. where it is a main walkway, the battery lasts up to two weeks. Then the battery removed from the device, connected to fully charge in 7-8 HOURS, will last another couple of weeks. It is a great camera though and audio is very very clear also. Night time makes it tougher to get a clear view of a person, unless they go stand directly in front of your camera. That’s not entirely a downfall because, for example, if someone were to try and remove your camera they would need to be standing directly in front of it for a while and that is a very clear picture. Plus you’ll have all the videos already on the app. and they are easy to download. If it is your intention of using this camera to CLEARLY identify a person during action in a large area, I’d say go ahead and install more security devices as well. I’m definitely going to look into the solar panel charging mount for the doorbell, either that or have a spare charged and ready to go battery on hand to switch out. Through the app. there are several options explained to help with motion detection and to help conserve battery as well. Crime has no zip code nor sense of time, so it’s better to be prepared. I’m glad with my purchase and have noticed it is definitely a deterrent.
