But did not like thw fact that you have to pay every year for the video to stay recorded. It should allow you to keep it for a week then delete.

Turns out that the person was under the influence and taken away by police. The device is larger than I expected installation was easy. We hardwired it for better reception and as to not rely on the battery. Giving family members their own access was tricky but we figured it out. The video is clear and night vision is good. It alerts us on our phone, tablet and watch every time someone approaches the porch. So far so good.

I am using the ring device on the battery and it has been 3 1/2 weeks since charged and there is still 80% left on the battery. The video and audio quality are very good. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and I feel safer with the ability to monitor the front entrance to my home.

Good battery powered video doorbell

The video quality is much better and also the battery design is much more functional. This is a great option if you need a battery powered video doorbell.

Fisheye lense captures a wide angle. Several installation options. Easy to scroll back through recorded events. Cons: After the first year you have to pay to use it. Sometimes misses events. Hard to get a good wifi signal outside the house. Should come with a spare battery so you can charge one while using the other. Overall it's a good device to have. You can check in from anywhere and I'd say it's worth the price.

It was very easy to install and set up. My only negative comment would be having to pay a fee for keeping the video active on each device after the 30 day trial. I would think if you had several Ring devices that you should only be charged once to keep the recording active on all of them on the same account. Kinds prevents someone with limited means to add more Ring devices!

I really love the ability to talk to people who ring my bell either when I am at home or am away. I work from home so being able to get rid of someone without going to the door is pretty handy.

Ever since we got the camera the knocking has stopped. The doorbell is incredible. Really enjoy the quality of the image and how easy the app is to use. The battery life is really good. Purchased a spare battery so I never have any downtime either. It has been extremely helpful during the whole COVID thing. No need to answer the door. Can just chat through the app and ask people to leave deliveries.

On multi-level home, can sometimes be an issue with wi-fi connectivity as my router is on upper level. Good quality video. Based on the length of my doorbell wires running from the house, had to use the extenders that came with the Ring doorbell. Getting a proper connection was a bit of an issue at first, but do-able.
