Works! Mainly this is used to keep track of the kids coming home from school. And to monitor any package theft attempts from the front door. Only issue is the amount of alerts for car driving down the street. But when i adjuated it. It became less effective, as it would not report people walking up to the door sometimes. And for the way that my family uses the camera, we tend to drain the battery quite often. Almost have to charge it monthly

I finally bought and installed the Video Doorbell 4 to provide a view of who is at our front door when we are in the back of the house. This model has the feature to adjust the areas of the view you want motion detection to activate to reduce motion detection on the road or sidewalks. We still get some "false" alerts, but less after I used the simple real time drag and drop feature to adjust the detection zones. This unit is hardwired to my existing doorbell circuit to supply power to trickle charge the battery. There is a long list of existing doorbells that work with this doorbell. When this unit detects motion, it also retains about 4 seconds of what it saw before it determined there was motion and records the sound and image of the movement. You also have the ability to have two-way audio with the person at your door as long as you have internet connection. Yes, there is night vision using infrared illumination. Ring also provide several "Smart Responses" that are spoken to the person ringing the doorbell including seasonal versions like spooky Halloween announcements. I assume there will be additional versions for Christmas, etc. Installation is simple and guided via the device and the Ring app. One thing to know is you need to fully charge the battery before performing the setup. Charging the battery can take up to 10 hours using a common USP charger (not provided) via the included USB cable. Mounting information, hardware, and the angle bracket are included. The only drawback to Ring security products is you have to subscribe to their service if you want to be able to look back to previous events at about $40/year.

We had an older video ring doorbell that worked good but with the newest ring video doorbell I s much better the picture quality is better the response time is alittle lacking and the night camera is way better. When I ordered it came from Best Buy within the week not like other products that I waited forever for Best Buy do a wonderful job shipping and contacting customers

The clearest view ring camera I’ve invested. Long distance viewing, and clear communication with visitors at the front door. I’ve owned various ring cameras but just say this one is the best by far.

I am very happy with my new ring doorbell and camera. Sold to me by Kyle Anderson (my son from another mother). I trust Kyle to know me and what will be a good fit for my needs. He is patient and works great with someone 76 yrs old. The installers Mat and Christian were also smart, professional, and helpful. I like knowing when a delivery arrives!

I couldn't be happier with our purchase of the Ring doorbell. We didn't have a doorbell, so I went with the wireless option and purchased the wireless chime, as well. The video quality is great, and I like the ability to set zones, so it doesn't go off every time a car goes by. I have been able to use the microphone as well and the sound quality is as clear as can be.

A less expensive way to monitor my property. I use it along with Ring monitor security. So far it has functioned as expected.

Upgraded from a Ring 2 and big improvements in battery life to captured videos. I recommend upgrading if you need to upgrade your older Ring doorbell.

Product works well. I installed it for a woman I was previously friends with. I liked it to an amazon echo show, it was fairly clear. The battery does need recharged occasionally. Might be beneficial to buy an extra battery.

This is the third ring doorbell that I’ve owned in the past decade, the technology in this generation is clearly superior to the prior models. Two of the models were replaced because the batteries just gave out after four or five years. Being exposed to extreme heat and cold here in Minnesota is not really great for batteries. The quality of images on this new doorbell as well as its Wi-Fi stability are clearly head and shoulders above the old models.

We are very pleased with our new ring doorbell 4. We replaced the rechargeable battery one we had. It always seemed to lose its charge quickly. The new one is great. We put the old one in the garage on the door entering our home, just as a deterrent. If it loses its charge it is not so important. Since we travel we need to make sure our front and back door are always working.

very good and safe, also the camera is fantastic. I recommend it for security.
