After 38 days it shows "offline" in the ring app. The unit is Powered over Ethernet PoE and is still receiving power. I changed our my PoE switch during troubleshooting. I tested my Ethernet cable to verify no faults. All hardware is working correctly. The doorbell will chime when the button is pushed, but will not broadcast the setup network needed to connect the system. After attempting setup on an iPhone, Android and iPad and following all the troubleshooting steps, it's safe to say the unit has gone bad. What a complete waste of money and time. I will never purchase another Ring device and I encourage you to do the same. This was a replacement unit for the Ring doorbell that came new with the house. You guessed it, that one died too. It lasted about two years...

The features and technology provided by the Ring Video Doorbell Elite are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. Rest assured, we are here to provide you with a concrete resolution as quickly as possible.
It sounds like the device is not performing as intended in regards to connection. As you have mentioned that the device is not going into setup mode, we recommend removing the faceplate, pressing the black button firmly, and releasing it without holding it down. You can also turn off the power at the breaker and turn it back on. If the light still doesn't start spinning when you push the black button, try performing a hard reset.
To perform a hard reset, hold down the black button for 15 seconds. After releasing it, the light on the front will flash a few times indicating that your Ring Doorbell Elite is restarting. Give it about a minute to fully complete this process, then put it in setup mode again by briefly pressing the black button on the side.
