      Hi Lars,

      Thank you for sharing your feedback. You are correct, with or without subscribing to the Cloud Video Recording, your alert notification will last for 40 seconds. If you are not subscribed to the Cloud Video Recording your videos will not be saved or stored to view at a later time, however you are still able answer alerts in real time. We do also provide more information on our website at Ring.com/cloudrecording. I apologize for any miscommunication but we will work on providing even more transparency to our customers as we can in the future.

      Hi CobaltSerenity,

      I'm sorry to hear about your poor Ring experience, but I would like to connect with you today to address / resolve the issues you are experiencing with your Ring. The motion detector does require a bit of maneuvering to find the right spot, however we can assist you with honing those settings to make sure you only receive the alerts that matter to you. Also, battery life is contingent on usage so the volume of alerts you receive per day will affect it but we can provide optimal settings to conserve your battery. For any negative comments posted on Facebook, we personally reach out to those customers through direct messages to assist them in resolving any issues they may come across because we don't feel Facebook is the best place to troubleshoot as we want to give our undivided attention on a more personal basis to these customers in need of assistance. Even without this plan, you'll receive real-time Ring and Motion video alerts on your smartphone.
