By now, practically everyone has some type camera security. This one does not disappoint, you will know every time someone steps in the area of your ring camera (one very minor complaint, it is a about 5-10 second delay before it rings) the picture/sound quality is great! In my opinion, you will not be disappointed with this choice/model. **This one is an upgrade from my previous model**

I'm definitely enjoying my new ring doorbell! My old one went out, so I wanted to get a new one. This was one of the most affordable if not the most affordable Ring doorbell. I like the sleek, black look. The doorbell works great! It's hardwired which I like so I don't have to worry about batteries. You get a free trial with the purchase, which is cool! The subscription plans also seem affordable. The doorbell works well and I feel like it helps my home be safer.

The ring wired model is not compatible with your mechanical door chime. You will need a ring chime to get an audible door bell. If you still want your original doorbell, get a pro model. Otherwise an easy install with great instructions. I just need to get a ring chime now.

After tiring of removing my older Ring WiFi Video Doorbell (which had contact plate which connected power to the unit) because the battery would no longer a charge, I pursued an upgrade to the Ring WiFi Video Doorbell - Wired - Black. Great product, and I should have installed this unit in the first place. Easy to install and connect to my WiFi. Great imagery and range of features. If you're tired of disconnecting the unit to recharge it, ditch the battery for wired. Sure, it power goes out, your WiFi will be gone too, so what's the point of a battery-powered unit?

I live in a town home on a tight block. For some reason my door bell wiring was placed behind the pillar at the front of my house. So my door bell's view is obstructed. However once I installed this camera I was impress with the view. Even with the obstruction I can clearly see the entire front of my house. Also the installation for this was very easy. If you find yourself lost just go on Youtube there are tons of videos to help.

Easy to install, easy to set up. What can I say, it’s easy! Video is clear and the sound as well. Like that you can select the area you want for the motion. Gives a little peace of mind.

Overall, the doorbell works great and was easy to install. I did not like that I had to unhook the regular doorbell and it only rings on our phones.

We were looking at ring doorbells for a while when i came across this one, which wasuch cheaper, so we jumped on it and couldn't be happier. Super easy to install, perfect video quality.

Very happy I went with the wired ring option due to the fact that it allows a 6-second pre-roll to catch sound and video 6 seconds prior to detecting motion in HD, the response of the wired camera is much faster of the battery powered and the initial buffering is in high definition versus low quality that the battery powered has in order to save battery. If you lose power in the house you're going to lose Wi-Fi therefore you don't have a ring to watch anyways so if you have the option definitely go with wired. Not to mention it's way cheaper.

Great quality of video and sound, however I upgraded to the normal size one and the video quality is way better. This one is good, just not as good.

Great camera for the price. Doesnt pick up somethings like the wireless one does, but love that I dont have to charge it with the cold temps we have.

My only complaint with this device is the delay when someone rings the doorbell. The video quality is great and I love the fact that I can set options to record all motion but only alert movement made by people. Before I set this up I would get notifications every time a car would drive by or a cat would cross my yard.

I love this doorknob! I can easily see who is at my door without actually going to my door. The doorbell camera will show on my phone via blink app or on my tv and other smart devices. Also, If I am away, I can communicate with whomever is at the door. I can also set a motion detector to let me know if someone comes near my door, or simply access the camera at anytime.

Very convenient to install and clear picture even at night , only thing the new units does not work with existing chime in the house. You’ll need to purchase a chime .

I've been using Ring cameras since day one, and it was an obvious choice, so I had to buy another. I have no regrets!

I love checking my front door with this at any time from any location. The previous renters left a Bl*nk model behind but I couldn’t check my door remotely unless an actual person rang the doorbell (or maybe I couldn’t find the option on the app and after so many hours trying to find it, I gave up!) It was easy to install and easy to see the front doors at both of my house’s from one app!
