My husband and I did a lot of research on cameras and doorbell cams for home security. We finally came to the decision to buy the Ring Pro 2 as it seemed to have the best quality picture as well as other features we were looking for in convenience and app interface. We love it! We installed it with the wedge angle piece on our front porch and it gives the perfect angle and range of vision for the front of our house. We love how you can personalize the notifications and really cater the way you want to see notifications and different types of movement. It really gives us peace of mind for our home and our safety, we are happy we went with this model. Love also being able to see and speak to someone at our front door, that has been a helpful feature. Set up was fairly simple and the app walks you thru step by step with photos and videos to help. We were even able to wire it to our existing doorbell so it still rings inside the house too.

I have both Ring Video Doorbell Pro, version 1 and this one, version 2, and I can see a difference in video quality., with Pro 2 having a better resolution. The Pro 2 version also has a wider field of view, you can actually see the whole person standing in front of it and a few feet, left and right. Initially, I was thinking of getting one of the Rings that are battery operated, but reading the reviews made me go with this one. Installation is quite simple, after you disconnect the power from the main electrical panel of your house, you would need to connect the existing doorbell wires to the back of Ring Pro 2 video doorbell. After that, install the Ring app and follow the steps to connect Ring Pro 2 to the internet and download some updates. Highly recommended. Happy with my purchase.

I bought this for my sister’s house. She is very happy with the xtra security when they are not home. They live part time in Florida so there is many times that no one is there!! Worth buying for sure!

The Ring Doorbell works very well at detecting people at my front door. It has been very helpful to be able to talk to people making deliveries via the app. My only complaint is that I cannot figure out how to pause the notification alerting me that someone is at my front door when I am out on my porch.

Works very well. There is a slight delay for the notification to my phone, probably 5 seconds. but does the job very well and the installation instructions were very good. I have been using it for a month.

The camera is very clear, and the mounting of the camera was easy. Great item at a great price

Nice door bell. Easy to set up and decent camera. Would recommend for anyone with ring already. If you you don’t have a pre wired bell like myself using the plug in option is also a breeze to do. Only downside was the pro 2 doesn’t work with pairing to locks such as level touch at the time of my set up. The level touch is certified to work with ring but the pro 2 doesn’t have the capability to do so. Only the regular pro. Maybe it will change later

I bought this newer version of the doorbell cam for our new home (I left the older version at the old home). It was easy to install and it works great! The camera is so much better and clearer than the older version. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a awesome product. It works very well and has a great camera. I didn't have and issue at all and it connected to my wifi immediately.

I can see, I can hear anybody at the door you can even talk even you're far away and you know who is going into the house and what's their purpose I love it buy it

I have three of these cameras around the outside of my house and couldn’t be happier. They’re easily adjustable or customizable for the alerts. The picture quality is amazing. The sound actually is tolerable and it does the job that it’s supposed to do, now I just need a couple for the inside to keep an eye on my cats because they’re naughty, lol!

This was easy to install and the app connected quickly. The picture is clear and notifications are prompt.

Probably the best doorbell created by Ring to date. Excellent picture and video quality. Super simple to install (if you only have to replace your current doorbell with the new one in the same spot). Very impressed. At first, I didn't see the true utility of this item, but after reviewing some of the things it caught, I don't know why I didn't have it months ago. The field of view on this unit is also surprising. Mount it 3.5 to 4.0 feet off the ground, and you're good to go. It's expensive but is money well spent.

I owned the 1st gen wired ring bell and it was really a good choice. Over time we had to get a new on and this one is by far better than the 1st. It a wired unit which mean I don't have to worry about charging a battery. Install and leave it alone, once its connected. The camera is so much better and the audio is excellent.

The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro looks nice and works well. The satin nickel finish makes it stylish and fits most homes. The video is clear during the day and at night. Motion alerts can be adjusted so you don’t get too many. The app is easy to use and lets you see and talk to visitors. Sometimes the sound has a small delay. To save videos and get extra features, you need a Ring Protect plan. Also, a strong WiFi signal is important for smooth use. Overall, this doorbell is a good choice if you want clear video, smart alerts, and a modern look.

Very pleased with the Ring Doorbell Pro 2 wired. The installation was not simple though. You will need to buy a higher capacity transformer and will need to direct wire from the transformer to the doorbell. Even though the instructions say you can wire through an existing doorbell chime. If you do, the existing doorbell chime may not be designed to accept a higher voltage and could start a fire. When I followed the instructions and online directions from Ring, my existing doorbell chime started buzzing and then smoking. I turned off the power, removed the doorbell chime and then directly wired from the transformer to the ring doorbell. Now it works exactly as it should. The app is great, the picture quality is great, and the look is great. I find that the audio communication between your phone app and the actual doorbell is fairly delayed so it isn’t like you gag you are on the videos where there is clear communication with someone at your front door. For me, the ring doorbell ultimately functions more as a security camera. Overall, I am glad to have it and am glad I went with the wired version because having to charge a battery every month or so to keep my doorbell functioning would be very frustrating.

This was an item I was contemplating for a while and ended up buying it during cyber Monday sales. (accidentally - didn’t realize it was still in my cart). Decided to install it since the winter usually drains my ring doorbell battery quickly. Setup was a breeze and had it up and running within 15 mins. LOVE this! The fish eye view is a little weird but I love how it constantly has power! If you’re looking for an upgrade or deciding on your first Ring, this is the one to get!
