It plugs directly in with a wire but doesn't ger in the way like I thought it would. The response time is great and ive yet to experience any lag at all, which caught my attention. It doesn't run off batteries, nor do you need to charge it. It runs off the battery of your phone instead. Look no further for a gaming controller for your phone

My only gripe with it is that you can’t swivel the phone stand up or down. But it gets the job done and it’s comfy.
