This game has taken me back to when video game play was truly gratifying. As game prices have risen over the years and ALL companies are taking advantage of their fans by add on prices as supposed to when all extras used to be programed within the cartridges. I say this to say, you hardly ever get a true value for your money. This game makes me want to keep going. The visuals are AWESOME, the gameplay is AWESOME and the entire game experience keeps your attention, each time you decide to pick it up. The puzzles and the ability of this game to provoke your thinking, really impressed me. My son, daughter and I have played for days now, and we can not say enough about how much we enjoy this game. I must give a plug to Best Buy for making available their game club and it's benefits. Finally, someone who shows respect and loyalty to their customers and loyal gamers.

Great for the first time tomb raider player. the game play is fun exciting and easy to folow along. once you start its difficult to stop. I have played just about all the Tomb Raider Games becouse of the original. however when EIDOS went away from the original format into sort of a thir person I walked away... however..like the original this one along with the definitive Edition has me back and enjoying the Tomb raider Series again.. Great game and if you dont already have it try the Definitive Edition as well..

After completing Tomb Raider, I couldn't wait for Rise of the Tomb Raider. I love this game more so than the first...It looks and plays better! The cut scenes are like something out of a movie, and it has tons of collectable items. I don't even know how I'll have time for Fallout 4, Halo 5 and all of the other games that I pre ordered!! I highly recommend ROTR to anyone looking for one of the best games on any system.

Easily one of the best adventure games out there. The interesting storyline and wondrous environments raise the bar for upcoming titles. Great improvements to crafting and fighting. Highly recommend to those looking for action-packed exploration.

I purchased as Christmas present for my daughter and she love it. The best part of buying the video games at best buy is they have you cover. This game is less violent than most of its type.

This by far is the best tomb raider game in the franchise great gameplay feels like you're really in the game!

I've played all the Tomb Raiders and this one felt like a Tomb Raider game. Most successful reboot thus far.

Laura Croft is amazing the visual effects are excellent and the action sequences are tremendous keep up the good work looking forward to more's one of the best games I've played in a while!

I played the original Tomb Raider series on the PS1, and I remember being underwhelmed. The gameplay and mechanics were pretty impressive for their time when in a tame setting. Get into real combat or tight situations and things tended to fall apart. Honestly, what Eidos had back then was ahead of its time and the tools necessary to accomplish their goals just weren't available or hadn't matured yet. Flash forward to present and the recent incarnation has been spectacular. The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay mechanics are polished and thought out. The first in the new series was fun and challenging and a great introduction to the character and her world. It felt short though and left me thinking that I was playing somewhat of an unfinished work. This sequel far exceeds the quality and success of its predecessor; the graphics continue to impress, and the gameplay which to me seemed quite complete the first time around has been further refined and improved. One review I read before launch made the claim that "The game is never more uninteresting than the times you are forced to use a gun." This line alone ensured my excitement and I can assure you that it's true. While the combat mechanics are strong and those parts can be fun and challenging, the game is first and foremost about exploration and survival. And in these areas are where Rise of the Tomb Raider really shines. From hunting and battling bears to spelunking and solving puzzle rooms, the exploration and discovery elements of this game are excellent and what makes it, for me, one of the top games available for the newest generation of consoles.

If you are a fan of the franchise, like I am, and you enjoyed the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider than you'll abosulutely LOVE Rise of the Tomb Raider. The graphics are gorgeous, the controls are tight, solid, and responsive. The puzzles are smart and well thought out. The combat is what you would expect if you have played the 2013 reboot. It has more tombs, craftables/collectibles, many different skills to customize your gameplay. The story is solid as well and makes you want to not stop playing. I couldn't recommend this game if I didn't believe it was a solid experience and well worth the price of admission.

If you're a fan of the Uncharted series, this is a good way to get an excellent equivalent on the XBox One (yes, I know it's available on PS4 as well). The graphics are astounding (I'd argue better than the Uncharted series), the controls are responsive and the action intense. The rebooted Tomb Raider franchise has produced two instant classics, and whether you're looking for a solo action/platformer or an online player vs. player, this game can offer a lot to both casual and hardcore gamers.

I'm glad that these new Tomb Raider games only seem to get better. The story is more interesting, the setting more stunning, the action smoother and the climbing and exploration so much deeper than in the last game. This feels like a longer, more fleshed out version than the 2013 reboot. If you didn't enjoy that one I don't think there's enough here to convert you into a fan, but if you did enjoy it then this is a no brainer for you, get this game. Some people might only play through the story once, which took me around 8 hours to get through (and I'm bad at puzzles), it'll take you longer if you do side quests and collect all the various upgrades and materials, but its still a decently short game albeit a very enjoyable one.

Great game and easily top 3 of 2016 for me. It was overlooked in my opinion because xbox one limited exclusive deal. But the game is great. Its perfectly paced,decent story,tons of exploration and tight controls. Easily takes back its title from uncharted as the premiere action adventure platforming title. Uncharted 4 will have to step up its game and have better gunplay to surpass this gem. Buy it now.

Easily the best action game I've played on my XBOX (disclaimer: I own a PS4). The graphics are truly astonishing, the story is captivating, the environments offer the opportunity for truly rewarding exploration, and the game does a fantastic job of drawing you in to Lara's struggle and journey of passion for the unknown and protection of family legacy. Highly recommended.

Rise of the Tomb Raider took everything great about the first one and expands on it. More puzzles, more exploration, more combat. This is a great re-booted series and I hope it continues. Once I started playing I could not stop until I completed it and collected everything, and I am not one who will waste time on collecting everything. Great story and overall great game.

This game is great! So far I love everything about it. Graphics are great, and so is the story. There aren't a lot of weapons, but the few that are available are fun to play with (Bow and arrow is always fun). They have upgrades and ammo is never a problem. The tombs are fun to explore. No complaints. Great job!

Visuals look amazing and the story is top notch. There are even more tombs to raid then before. Some of the puzzles are interesting and outright pretty ridiculous. Open world combat is much more fluid and the skill trees have been expanded. It's a must buy if you're a Tomb Raider fan.

Lara Croft sets on her second journey in the new series and faces new challenges. The game features beatiful graphics and has a great story for the gamer. Controls are fluid and I would definitely recommend this game to any previous and new fan to the genre and series.

Ah yeah, Tomb Raider is back and I love it again. I hated the last TR. The story, the cut scenes, the controls, the targeting system. This version fixes all of that. The story is much better, the environments are much more fun to explore, it takes advantage of the capabilities of my elite Xbox one controller, survivor vision is more clearly defined, targeting works better (I am a casual, older woman player who plays on easy with full targeting assist). Every bit of this game is superior to the last one. If you are looking for a fun game you should consider this one. If you are a parent there is violence and blood. Some scenes in the flooded archive environment were graphic and could be disturbing. Lots of dead bodies and burned people in pain. Not sure I would want my 10 year old niece to play it, but if my 15 yr old nephew wanted to I would probably let him but check in or be with him in areas I found disturbing.

Truly an amazing follow up to Tomb Raider. A beautiful game, with a great story, stunning graphics and easy to use controls. Mysteries to solve and puzzles to complete. This Lara Croft is going to be the stuff of legend. So fun to play, totally my new favorite game.
