This is only my second foray in the Tomb Raider series but it won't be my last

Not really exciting. Clunky controls and weird camera views.

Action-packed Tomb raider thriller! Very fun game!

He loved this game. It was longer than one would think. Problem was all the upgrades were relative to reaching points in the game. So can farm and realize it's no use until reaching a specific point

I bought this game on a Black Friday sale in 2017, and sat on it for over a year. I really intended to get an Xbox One X before I played it, and that's what I ultimately did. I got the X recently, and started RotTR (Rise of the Tomb Raider). And, honestly, it's a pleasant surprise. The story is hilariously cheesy and bad at times, but I grew up with 80s movies and appreciate that quality. The game itself is exactly what a game should be. It has side quests, exploration, skills, environments that your character depends on those skills, "tombs" or puzzle dungeons as I call them, and battles that are sometimes small or large depending on the situation. The flow of the game is also what makes it good. Most games that are story and gameplay driven don't have a "flow" to it. This game does. In fact, that's why its such a good game. The flow of it just goes well as long as you are trying and paying attention to the small details. I'm about 6 hours into the game and I can already tell that I'll be getting Shadow of the Tomb Raider once this one is done. Great game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider features a highly polished action/adventure game. Great story line, visually crisp and detailed, with unexpected twists and turns. Exploration to find tombs is encouraged. Use stealth or shoot it out with Trinity.

What can I say? This games is a blast! Definitely one of the top games of 2015! It's easy to lose track of time playing it. The graphics are great and so is the attention to detail. I haven't finished it, but the story thus far is good. And there are plenty of side objectives to do as well, such as helping NPC allies and exploring tombs. If you enjoyed the 2013 Tomb Raider game, you will love this one!

I loved the first (rebooted) Tomb Raider and am happy to say this one surpasses it on almost every level. Combat, exploration and story are majorly improved. A must have for xbox one owners.

The graphics are amazing, didn't notice any problems with frame rates, very smooth experience overall, the story it's one of the best in the series, but more importantly gameplay and survival skill are improved in every way compared to the last entry, so I think this is probably the BEST Tomb Raider of all time, or at least one of the better entries in the series, if you like Tomb Raider this is a must buy, and if you haven;t play them before, I think this a good game to start, any xbox one owner should at least give this game a try, 100% recommended.

I was thrilled playing Rise of the Tomb Raider as it is fantastic adventure game where each move could be your last. I found pleasure in searching for those undiscovered tombs to combat. I really like the direction Square Enix has taken with the series. It is another solid entry in the franchise It is finally nice to play as a strong female heroine.

I would actually rate this a 4.5 but since there's no option I rounded up. I enjoyed the story line and the extra content. Graphics are amazing. It still isn't the Tomb Raider I grew up with even though they added more tombs. I hope the next installation goes back to solving puzzles with a side of action instead of the current reverse style.

the Tomb Raider series is one of my favorites and while I do wish it was a bit more like WoW, Diablo, or Final Fantasy, in that the story is ongoing, I still love the game and this one picks up right where the 2013 Tomb Raider left off. It incorporates many of the skills that Lara and the player learned from game one.

This is a great action game that improves on the first Tomb Raider in almost every way. The story wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't that great in the original either. This one has better exploring, especially better tombs, and better overall game play and better graphics (even better than the XBox One port of the original).
