I did not like the fact that I would need a ladder to climb up and change the battery approximately every 6 months and with my luck, it would go out in the middle of a snowy or sub-zero cold spell in Wisconsin. I am 67 years old and a woman, enough said for ladders and changing batteries. The cost of having an additional battery charged and ready in the house versus the solar panel was about the same. So far, so good. The ring app is showing me a fully charged battery.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace a solar panel which provides power to my backyard patio RING camera so I don’t have to get up on a ladder to replace the batteries. The solar panel itself had come loose from the stucco wall and fell to the ground which caused it to break. I had a handyman come here to install the new panel and he used longer nails than what the manufacturer provides.

I have not been disappointed and would highly recommend the product!
