I was a kid when this film came out and seeing it on 4K UHD is a treat. The picture quality and sound is really good for a movie from 1987. Basil Poledouris' soundtrack is one you can't easily get out of your head. The story is simple but it makes me want to watch it again and again. I also love how the effects are practical meaning no CGI.

One of the best sci-fi action films ever made, Robocop is the first of Paul Verhoeven’s three sci-fi masterpieces. This release boasts flawless picture and sound, along with a ton of special features. Highly recommended, along with Total Recall and Starship Troopers.

Excellent 4k transfer. Was so glad to find this in-store near me. Had a friend pick it up as the store is actually closer to him. Best Buy price was lowest I could find online. Pick-up was fast and easy.

4K is solid, sounds great, only minor issue is it’s advertised as both 4K BD and BD included when I ordered online, but the package and inside indicates only 4K BD included.

This is the Extended Directors cut with all the brutality that earned it the first ever X rating for violence. That is why its sold as Unrated.. IF you have the previously released Criterion Edition the added content will be familiar. As for the picture and sound, this is a good or better than it was when in theaters. The HDR is very evident as addition color detail is noticeable Al’s or everywhere. The soundtrack is a bit dated ( let’s face it, it’s 25+ years old) but this remaster is a nice upgrade. If you like this movie and want to see experience it in all its uncut and remaster/polished glory… It will be money well spent. The bonus content is awesome… If you’re a behind the scenes type person, this is everything you could want in one place.

This is the best copy of the film I have ever seen, and I have seen most! The movie itself is a good sci-fi tale, exploring the ethos and morals of corporate oversight and profits blending with the human aspects of law enforcement. It's a movie that was far ahead of its time, and holds up great especially in the age of AI, cloning, and corporations extending into different areas of profitability. Highly recommend this movie if you have not seen it! The sound and picture quality is really good, but do realize this is a 1987 film where digital qualities and how the pictures were shot were just different than today. The surround sound is very good - clear and present, clean fight scenes with nice sound mixing. A+ Mr. Verhoeven!

Great action/sci-fi film with great performances and awesome story.

5 stars for movie and transfer. 2 stars for Bestbuy! Listed as 4k UHD/blu-ray which would make you think the two disc release with the other film versions etc... No! Got the standard single disc 4K version of the director cut. I used to go out of my way to buy some of my movies through BesyBuy to support businesses other than Amazon and felt like I got better service. Not anymore. The last year or two noticed a serious decline in BestBuys quality/customer service. Now I can get a better deal and better service through Amazon which is sad!

Old detroit has a disease, and that disease is crime. Hitting the streets near you is RoboCop. A one cyborg army packing a massive Auto-9 pistol dishing out justice wherever he may roam. Lookout bad guys, dead or alive you’re going with him. This remaster is excellent, never has Robo looked so good.

This is a great movie. Give RoboCop a look. A must watch movie

This movie brings me so much nostalgia. I remember my step dad showing this movie to my mom and i for the first time. It has so many messages in this movie, and it holds up to this day. But most of all, im going to miss physical media.

Remember the fantastical 80s. That's when violence was whimsical and enthralling. Well there's no better way to revisit those nostalgic feelings picking up robocop in 4k. Especially since the video game just came out

Great quality. The new Robocop game got me nostalgic for Peter Weller and the original. Way better than my cherished copy on VHS that was taped over by my sister. Curse you 90210, anyways top knotch 4k.

Its a great movie and beautiful picture / remaster, to bad Bestbuy decided to abandon it's customer base by not selling physical media any longer.

The one and only original Robocop. The 4K UHD remastered version brings out the movie’s original aspect, especially on an OLED tv. A must for physical media collectors.

Without question this is the best version of the original Director's Cut Robocop film. The picture quality in 4K is gorgeous for a film that's over 30 years old.
