Fails on dog hair as others warned

We were fed up with so many Roombas dying and tried this $1200 Roborock. We are two weeks in to the Roborock and while it seems to outperform the roomba on floor washing, speed of cleaning, and some operational announcements (I am cleaning, returning to base to empty, etc.) it completely fails on our primary use case of daily vacuuming of our German Shepherd’s shedding and the dirt tracked in by our three teenage boys. It leaves random deposits of clumped dog hair and dirt that our Roombas never did (despite their own performance issues). Also, in three weeks it managed to completely scratch up its top surface on our furniture, cabinets, whatever. Overall I don’t feel right going it a “1 star” because I feel like it’s somewhat smarter and faster, but it is far less effective in our situation—and leaving deposits of pet hair and debris randomly all around our floors every day is just unacceptable.

The moo is where it loses points. I like you can control the water flow (i have laminate flooring) but it does not scrub much off the floors.

It is suggested to place the dock station at the central area of your house. The space for the dock should be no less than 0.5 m wide on the left and right side, and 1.5 m wide in front of it.
