I would assume it does. It feels sturdy and the faqs on their website helped a ton when trying to set it up. It was my fault for not checking the compatibility with my laptop.

Great solution

The USB sound external card was the emergency solution. Design is really nice and the performance is very good. Better than replace the laptop.
