Great long distance HDMI cable!!

I am looking for the ultimate "clean" looking setup and the Rocketfish 50' 4K HDMI cable is a great product that allows you to keep a device in one room, out of sight, and view it in another room. Ultimately I want to have an "entertainment" cabinet where my computer, gaming consoles, and video devices are in one central location and available to anyone TV or workstation throughout my house.
This particular HDMI cable is great for consoles as it allows for UltraHD quality at 60Hz refresh rate. While this is a bit low, in my opinion, for more modern content, most consoles are still limited to around 60Hz so this is fine in most cases. Since this is an HDMI cable, it is capable of transmitting not only high definition video but also high quality audio, including Dolby Atmos. The only feature missing, in my opinion, is eArc support which is not available on this particular cable. This is more than fine, I just wish this feature was available so that I could use a single remote to also adjust audio and when turning on my gaming console it would also turn on the TV itself.
Overall this is an outstanding product and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality, long distance, HDMI cable.

I had just started the process of setting up a ceiling-mounted projector in our family room and was looking at the options for HDMI cables. I discovered the Rocketfish brand and realized it was just what I was looking for.
At 50 feet in length, it was definitely long enough to go from my A/V receiver, through the wall and ceiling, to my projector. It's certified for in-wall installation making it more resistant to fire and better suited for my application. The jacket itself is thick but still very flexible, making it easy to maneuver through my space. It's triple-layer HDMI case and gold-plated connections reduce interference and transmit clear audio and video. This a "directional cable" and the ends are clearly marked so you know which end goes to the projector, and which end goes to the source.
It's fiber-optic and compatible for both 4K Ultra and HDR making it a great match for Dolby Atmos.
Since Rocketfish is a Best Buy brand, I feel I can always count on it being of high quality. There are definitely less-expensive options available but I feel there really is a difference in quality.

A Good Option for Longer Runs

This Rocketfish 50' fiber optic HDMI cable is a very good option for those looking for a cable to run longer without losing quality or introducing noise or latency. Being in-wall rated gives you the opportunity to hide this cable for maximum placement flexibility. In my case, I'm using this to connect a ceiling mounted projector to my home theater system. It's worked well without any issues and has eliminated some of the odd issues I'd been previously experiencing that were likely related to electrical interference. In general, my system doesn't require transmission abilities about the supported 4k@60hz bandwidth of this cable. If you need higher throughput, this cable may not work for you. That said, for me, I had zero handshake issues or format issues with my particular setup.
There are a couple caveats with this type of cable (not specific to this brand, all fiber optic based HDMI cables). First and foremost, the cable is directional so you have to make absolutely clear which direction you're installing this cable in. Additionally, you need to be more mindful of the angles with this type of cable; no right angle bends here. The bend radius can't exceed 8 inches, as per the guidance on the box, so if you need to run through some more extreme angles, this isn't the cable for you.
Overall, this is a solid cable if you need something to run behind walls over a long span. As long as you're mindful of the directionality and non-bending requirements of this cable, it will likely work great for you.
Thank you for sharing your detailed experience with the Rocketfish™ 50' 4K UltraHD In-Wall Rated Fiber Optic HDMI Cable. We're glad to hear that it has worked well for your setup and helped eliminate previous issues. Your insights on the cable's directionality and bending requirements are valuable, and we appreciate your thorough feedback. Perfect Signal Over Long Distances.

This Rocketfish 100' 4K UltraHD In-Wall Rated Fiber Optic HDMI Cable has been a game-changer for my setup! I’ve been searching for a solution to run a stable, high-quality HDMI connection from my gaming PC to a projector located in another room, and after a few attempts with standard HDMI cables, I kept running into issues with signal degradation and picture quality. This cable was exactly the answer I was looking for, and it exceeded my expectations.
The fiber optic design is fantastic. Unlike traditional copper cables, this Rocketfish cable transmits a flawless 4K signal over the full 100 feet with no drop in quality whatsoever. The picture is clear, vibrant, and just as sharp as if I were using a much shorter connection. It also supports HDR, so colors look rich and true to life, which is a huge plus for gaming. I haven’t noticed any lag or latency, even with fast-paced games, which is crucial for my gaming experience.
Another big bonus is that the cable is in-wall rated. I was able to run it safely through the walls for a clean, streamlined installation that keeps everything out of sight. The build quality feels excellent as well, giving me confidence that it will hold up over time, even with the longer distance.
Setting it up was straightforward, and it worked flawlessly with both my projector and PC right from the start. If you’re dealing with the challenge of connecting high-quality video across long distances, I highly recommend this Rocketfish fiber optic HDMI cable. It’s worth the investment for anyone looking for both quality and reliability in their setup!

The length you need

This is a unique product for me because I know rocket fish is a in-house Best Buy brand. But I also associate this brand with good quality. Now I had two places I could use this cable, but I wanted to try it in my most difficult scenario. First, spoiler alert. I will be buying a second one because it did so well. My first scenario is my beach home where I have a projection room. All of the equipment is in the back right side of the room because the HDMI that goes up through the walls into the attic and then back into the room that connects to the projector is the most complicated so I needed 100 ft. I do have some slack on both sides. I just took it out and I was still good and it connected just fine. The in-wall rating is a big thing. Now. There is no electricity running through these cables but why change it if something starts to chew at it or if any kind of spark goes up? This cable does not contribute to my beach home burning down. My second scenario I'm excited to try it in is in my parents home. Their setup is not A need for in-wall rated cables because they run theirs along the wall but it's definitely the length and the quality. So leading up to that spoiler alert. I will be buying a second cable for my parents for their updated equipment. So if this is good enough for a former high-end home theater salesperson formerly of Best Buy, it is definitely good enough for customers needing the length or a great in-wall rated cable.

Perfect for custom home theater setup

I have a somewhat decent home theater setup and it's the little things like this cable that make it some much more nicer. It provides flexibility on your install and allows you place your components where want them instead of where you have to have them.
Your first thought would probably be, "why do I need a $100+, 50ft long HDMI cable?" True, for most TV setups, this is a bit overkill however, for those working on a custom home theater setup, this type of cable is invaluable.
I have your typical big screen TV, speakers, amplifier and surround sound setup. However I was looking to add a projector to my place and this cable is perfect for that. Typically, this length of cable allows you to have that clean look and run the cable inside your walls. For those with large rooms, this is a nice touch so no more wires/cables laying on the ground. This is the similar route I was looking to take with my projector where it would be ceiling mounted and then I can run the cable through the ceiling and down to my amplifier.
The cable itself is very high quality. My Blu-Ray DVDs come through very crisp and clear without any degradation to picture quality like you would see with a cheaper cable or something that's been scaled up to 4k resolution.
Once my setup is completed, I'm hoping this is a durable cable (and it looks to be) so no needs for replacing it down the road. Yes, it's a tad on the expensive side however, if you have the need for a cable like this then it'll be worth it in the end.

We have a standard 25 ft HDMI cable, and it is very thick and heavy, in comparison this100 ft fiber optic HDMI cable is about half the weight and size and four times the length. The comparative width of the cable is the same as a standard 3-meter cable. This cable is perfect for when we set up the projector in the yard and display outdoor movies. We can keep the HDMI source safely away from the action. This cable is directional, and the ends are labeled Source and Display. The cable can be run in the open around/across the room or installed within a wall. It is 4K Ultra HD and HDR compatible which means that it displays 4K @ 60 Hz. It also supports Dolby True HD and DTS-HD audio which is a plus when you have a soundbar or audio system that can process this type of signal. When not being used for outdoor movies, we keep the cable attached to the large television in our family room. We can hook up computers and other devices that provide an HDMI source at the back of the room. We find that 100 ft is a good length for these purposes because there is enough length to have the cable go around the perimeter of the room.

Brought wires for speaker system. Had them installed by the Geek Squad. All worked perfectly. Because this was for commercial use, brought everything with associate of BestBuy. All went as planned.
