The wire is of good quality but easy to use. Cuts easily with scissors yet has good strength.

I'm using the 100ft length reel to make custom length speaker runs for an 7.1 A/V system in a larger room. I suppose many home theater owners would have had a professional installation done after buying their system but I pieced mine together over several purchases. Speaker wire was one of the last things as speaker placement was finally decided. Wire does make a difference in sound and this is good stuff but an obvious difference in the conductor colors or larger print on the insulation would have pleased my tired old eyes.

Have used other wiring before, this is nice does not fray easily, and the way it is marked for plus makes it easy to plug in. Still have plenty left for other use as well.

It's kind of hard to strip off the wires so I definitely recommend using a specialized wire stripping tool so you don't break/cut too many of the fine copper strands within. --> I have to imagine this wire is far tougher in case you have pets (or vermin) that love to chew on your wires. - I'm hoping I never have to find this out first-hand: No cats, no rats, no dogs, no ferrets, etc.. I've now re-wired both of my home theater audio systems with this Rocketfish™ - 16 AWG - Gold Speaker Wire, replacing generic, "thin as tissue" 18 AWG wire. ... No matter what, I really don't think Best Buy will "short" you (pun intended) and if they do, and you can reasonably prove it, I'm SURE they will make it up to you. ... Nearly 15 years of experience with Best Buy makes me positively assured about making such a claim, FOR SURE!

This speaker wire rolls off the spool fluently and slides through the walls unwistfully. Would buy again. The speaker on the end of the 100 feet provides a loud, raucous sound that fills the space illiberally.

This 30 foot spool of speaker wire is great quality. Very easy to strip the wires to hook up speakers.

This wire is heavy duty, but easy to run from speaker to receiver. The sound it allows is great as well.

I puschased this cable for a speaker installation on my boat. Easy to work with, and my speakers sound great!

I was using this cable to replace old speaker wire that was too thick and didn't go into the holes of the red or black screw knobs that connect the speaker and wire/ receiver and wire. This wire was difficult for me to peel back with single edge razor blade but my friend was able to do it. Wire fit right into the holes so perfectly that I know it won't be coming out because I move the floor speakers to vacuum behind them. Because of this wire my sound is perfect.

I didn’t see the reviews and was suggested by Best Buy associate at the store as a good wire for my new receiver. When I used the wire, I was really happy to see the quality of the wire and it really worked seamlessly with my receiver without the need of any banana plugs. I actually returned the reciever as I got a better one in few more dollars but I kept the same wire for the new reciever. If you want a speaker wire, I would say go for it without thinking much.

Spending a few grand on my home theater system, I didn't want to "go cheap" on the speaker wire. This 16-gage wire ensures I get the best sound from my 7.1.2 speaker arrangement.
