    GREAT SURGE PROTECTOR !

I thought I had an excellent surge protector before. However, I was on my computer when my residence power went out -and flashed back on almost immediately - which caused my iMac computer to shut down. I was unable to restore it on my own and had to take it to the Apple Store 40 miles away to have an Apple "Genius" get me back up to speed. Very inconvenient, but I only trust my computer to Apple for a variety of reasons. It took a while to repair the damage and restore it back to its old self, but they did it while I waited. They advised me I was lucky because the computer itself suffered some internal damage, but stopped the surge on its own, since my previous "good" protector FAILED to do it's job! The Rockfish Surge Protector is not cheap, but it is much more sensitive to surges -4,680Joules worth of sensitive! Well over 5 times more sensitive than my old so called "protector"! And the Rockfish has 12 outlets VS only 4 on the old surge protector. And Rockfish has a $350.000.00 connected equipment warranty - which would certainly be WAY more than adequate for my purposes ! It is worth the added expense and my electrician friend was totally impressed with the Rockfish and its 12 outlets. So, I think it is worth the extra expense to go with the top dog in this case!

I went to Best Buy looking for a new power strip for my A/V devices. I have purchased Monster brand in the past, but all your paying for is the name. I researched power strips online before ever reaching the store. From reading the Monster reviews, on the Best Buy site, I read things like..."I see a difference in my power bills (This was my favorite!), and "You get what you pay for". Now I'm not saying that the Monster brand is garbage, I'm just saying your paying more for the name than you have to. I used to buy ALL Monster products until I went online and googled "Are Monster cables worth the price"...I found the answer and have been purchasing the "RocketFish" brand, made by Best Buy, ever since. The difference between the two products is a lot, The price of the Rocketfish power strip is half the price AND it has a surge protection rating of over double that of Monster which is rated at 4680 Joule. I think we all know which one I chose, I had them both in my hands and went with the Roketfish brand. I can say it doesn't save me money on my electric bills but it functions just like I thought it would. We had a pretty intense lightning storm where the power went out...but when the power came back on my equipment was fine. Don't pay for the glitz and glamour of a name brand product when you have, in my mind, an even better product with the Rocketfish. The only thing that I love about Monster is it is an American based company.

I ended up buying 2 of these (Electric Company Power Surge took out my (years old) previous Surge Protectors. Of course, you never really know how good a Surge Protector is unless/until you face a catastrophic failure. This unit is "feature-laden" and has ample outlets and a pleasant appearance. I bought the 2nd one as a "backup" when it was offered at a substantial discount. It appears that this unit has been "phased out", is no longer available? (unsure/appeared to be so). I am satisified with my purchase of 2 of these though.

Works well. Lots of outlets at different orienations, so several plugin transformers fit at one time. The main power switch is oddly clicky and feels cheap, but except for turning it on/off a couple of times when I set it up, I just leave it on. I don't think the switch itself would stand up to regular use. Standard holes for wall mounting as well. I did not use the coax or network connections.

These are the only power strips we use throughout our place, between these and the 8 outlet ones, we have 11! They have saved our connected items many times over when we've had surges, be it from a transformer that has blown a few times, to accidents that have taken poles down, and storms with a ton of lightning, to just having older wiring that sometimes has small surges. We have used many different brands, but none have lasted as long as our rocketfish ones or protected our items that are plugged in.

Bought this Rocketfish TWELVE outlet protector strip for an AUDIO-ONLY system, which includes 2 high-end cassette decks, two high-end turntables, a vintage 10.5 in reel-to-reel, high-end cd player, one down from the top receiver, and a newly purchased streamer! I've bought 5 Rocketfish protector strips for other applications in my house...very much like the build quality, the heavy-duty cords, & yes, the prices are GOOD! I'd promo these to ANYONE looking for good protection for their A/V tech toys! Bruce D from Colorado Springs!

    Nothing Bad Too Say

Nothing bad to say about this product. Okay I get it. It is device that we use to connect the devices that we love, but having a good cable sometimes can be just as important as the device itself. If you are looking for a quality picture, sound or just providing the right amount of power to your devices you want a good cable or power cord to connect those devices. Now is not the time to go cheap because you get what you pay for. For example, if you spend several hundred dollars on a good TV that provides a good picture a cheap HDMI cable is not going to cut it. If you want good sound from you optical device again you have to pay for quality. If you want good network connections then again why be cheap LOL! The last example is a good power cord because how many products can be damaged through poor power cables. So in conclusion do what you want but for me a quality cable is important after spending hundreds of dollars on a device.

Had 3 different outages since I bought this and have my work and personal computers plugged in. All of them occurred during work or gaming. I've never had an issue with something frying or files corrupting or anything like that. It seems like it rated properly. I do utilize the pass-through for the LAN connection. It's worked really well and the plugs are nice and tight. Nice, clicky power switch. I was worried it was more than I was looking to spend, but I like to think it has paid itself off by now with the peace of mind it brings.

    Very Satisfied with surge protector

Very happy with this surge protector, able to have my laptop, and a few hard drives with large plugs all connected to one surge protector without having to use an extension cord to a 5 outlet surge protector. I am now able to have all the main devices plugged in and still have a few openings for more devices to be plugged in. The surge protector is fairly thin in size compared to the usual big bulky 5 outlet I had normally used. Even better having the ability to use USB and even coax and ethernet cables as well to ensure all devices are protected.

I picked this up on sale for $40 and was looking for surge protecter/backup generator but I couldn't find one. I don't like using my valuable consoles, TV, soundbar without protecting them. I have 2 of these. One has my TV, soundbar, my 6 gaming consoles, battery charging station (for xbox controllers), and modem all hooked up at all times. I feel much safer protecting my consoles, I just wish they had the generator type where if the power goes out the outlet has enough juice to keep powering them for a good while afterwards. My other one has my 3 computer monitors, laptop charger, computer subwoofer speaker system, condenser microphone, audio interface, and my 16feet LED decorative strip that wraps around my 3 monitor horizontal stand that is always ON when Im on my laptop which could be between 1hour to 6 hours of PC gaming. This surge protector is awesome and will definitely hold up in case a surge ever does happen.

This was such a great purchase. As a gamer, I have so many things that need to be plugged in, and it is a hassle to wire everything properly, while still holding its physical appeal. Prior to this, I have always needed to unplug and plug in something when I needed to switch consoles, for example, due to not having sufficient outlets. My prior strip had maybe 8-10 ports, but at least 2 were unusable due to the spacing and sizing of plugs. I like that this also has 2 direct USB ports - it would be nice to have more, but overall, no complaints.

ROCKFISH SURGE PROTECTOR GIVES PEACE OF MIND!

Recently, we had a lightning bolt that almost hit our home! The lightning damaged our A/C system, the dishwasher, Internet equipment, security system and sprinkler controller! The cost and annoyance got my wife's attention! Luckily, we have a whole home surge protector on our home's electrical panel, otherwise the damage could have been catastrophic! While, we were shopping at BEST BUY she said we needed to look at some high amp surge protectors for our TV's and other consumer electronics we both use regularly. She just "loves" her movies, crime shows, talk shows and the news! This was the first time ever that she had asked about electronic safety! She really was happy with this quality Rockfish product!

Because of the wide placement of outlets on the outer edges of the unit, it solves the problem of too many bulky A/C adapters that won't fit on most power strips. You can plug in at least seven of them. It's a bit expensive but has high joule protection and other attachments. Plus, its low profile & long power cord means that it fits almost anywhere.

I bought the Rocketfish™ - 12 Outlet/2 USB Surge 4680 Protector to replace an old one that didn't provide enough outlets. I've had it for a few weeks, and it works very well. The USB C outlets are very convenient and open up other outlets. The flat orientation works much better for my purposes. It is on the pricey side, but it was well worth the price for my needs. I recommend this for any office or home that needs more outlets and a decent amount of surge protection.

Always buy a surge protector over a power strip. We had some bad storms and our house lost power, coming back on and off for a few seconds. Unsure if just faulty wiring because it is an old place, but the surge protector did it's job and probably saved me around $4000 in electronics (surge protector light no longer on). USB ports are nice if you don't want to plug in wall warts for your phone or other USB charged electronics. Highly recommend.

Wow! This thing really allows stuff to be plugged into it! And it really plugs into the wall too! If you're into plug inception and plugging things into other things that plug in, I'd highly recommend this plugger in thingy! It does have a convenient little on/off switch, so I like that cause I can keep my TV from drawing power while its not on. I haven't had any power surges though, so I cant say much about that. But I have faith and if I had to guess, I would guess that it would win the battle agains the surging power.

Rocketfish is my favorite brand for Surge Protection on all of my home outlets. We have them all over the house. During electrical storms I don't worry about all electrical items being fried because I know this brand will protect. They also have a Protector Plan that comes with the Rocketfish protectors. If your item is damaged the company will replace or repair your item. Plus being a TotalTech member we have a 2 years protection plan from Best Buy. This is why all of my electronics come from Best Buy.
