    We purchased this to replace a 5 year old Monster that reached end-of-life. It has a convenient plug layout, allowing multiple types of transformers and plugs to be used. It's hard to judge the quality of a surge suppressor before you have a surge, so this review is based on price and convenience.

    It's a surge protector. Having the 12 outlets is a plus, and the layout of those outlets helps with the large plugs on some devices. It's a pricy surge protector, but I'm not sure if this is one device that shouldn't be quality, a lot of pricy devices are connected to it.
