We live on a lake, and have a lot of lightening strikes. I have had 3 lightening strikes in the past 3 years that hit my TVs. I have 3 of these that never failed at protecting my equipment. I like that it tells you if it's properly grounded unlike other surge protectors. It's worth the price of paying extra money for the higher joules that they have in protecting your equipment.
