Customers are saying

Customers highly value the good quality, affordable price, and user-friendly design of the 30' Speaker Wire - 16AWG. Many customers mentioned that the sound quality is amazing and the length is just right for their needs. While some found the wire to be a bit expensive, most agreed that it is worth the price. There were a few minor complaints about the difficulty in seeing the markings on the wire, the thickness of the wire, and the insulation being hard to cut without damaging the wire.

    Must have for any HTIB

If you just purchased a HTIB and have terminals that you can change out the wires to, I highly suggest this wire if you are going 50 ft or less to each speaker. The sound quality will remain in tact with 16 gauge wire up to 50 feet, if you need to go any farther, you will want 14 or 12 gauge.

    Why Spend More?

Rule of thumb: If you spent less than $2500 on your tuner and speakers combined, you don't need any higher quality speaker wire than what Rocketfish provides. This is good enough quality for 90% of sound system applications out there. 100' was enough for seven speakers in a good size living room. Make sure you measure the distances before cutting if you are going to install seven speakers. Little room for error if you cut one short.

I picked this up to get some speakers installed quickly. The spool is easy to use. No kinks or any other problems with it. Not much to say really ... it's a cable, it works, pricing was within reason. Should be obviousbut it's not shielded so don't run parallel to power cords or other electrical runs.

Top notch wire, very well made. It definitely made a difference in sound quality over my old wires. The clear insulation is quite thick, so it’s some tough stuff. Best of all, 100% copper, which also looks good through that very clear insulation.

I bought this speakerwire to connect surround sound speakers in my home theater and the sound is really very excellent but to me the wire was a little difficult to cut. That may just be my inexperience talking I don't know. I liked that they had the positive and negative printed on the clear coat, that made things pretty simple and easy to understand.

Easy to work with using the quick connectors also from Best Buy. Heavy duty guage and insulation for indoor/outdoor hookups. Outdoor speakers (also from Best Buy) sound better with heavier guage wire than with what I had been using from old system.

I am using this wire for an in-wall pre-wire for 9.2 surround sound. The longer the distance from speaker to amplifier/tuner the larger gage wire you need. You also need a good guality wire that won't break down with time (in-wall). This wire met both of my needs.

I love the insulation on this wire. It's easy to work with, smooth, and makes running the wire easy. It doesn't seem to tangle with the other cords, and has markings on one wire. The markings are a bit hard to see, so bring a flashlight :)

This wire is excellent for mid-level stereo systems... however, the markings for the positive lead are hard to see. Really had to strain my old eyes to figure out which lead was which. In the old days, they made this wire with one lead copper and the other lead silver. Made figuring out which was which much easier!

I’ve never bought speaker wire so I have zero frame of reference but this was easy to work with and delivers excellent sound from my new receiver to my 4 in wall speakers.

I've purchased and used the Rocketfish speaker wire in the past. Easy to use and handles just about any speaker job. I gave it 4 stars because unlike other speaker wire, it needs to distinguish red from white other than the copper and steel gray at the end. Otherwise, no sound loss...ever and affordable.

This is some nice wire. Insulation is thick and it's easy to read for which is suggested to be the positive wire. I was able to hook up 3 speakers, lengths 9', 9', 6' This left me with six feet extra for my rocketfish wireless surround transmitter.

Decent speaker cable for surround sound speakers

I bought this to connect surround sound speakers, so although each run is kind of long, the power it has to handle is modest. Worked perfect. The thick insulation is hard to strip compared to my previous cable, but likely much tougher, so its fine.

High quality wire for its price. Marks on the clear shielding is helpful. No complaints. Make sure to use a wire splitter for the ease and prevent cutting too deep.

I still used a wired surround sound system and this wire is top quality. I would definitely buy more again if needed. Sound quality is good and copper looks like top grade and still shiny looking after like 10 years.

I used this wire to hook up my surround sound speakers in my media room. Even though this is heavy gauge wire, it is still very flexible. I was able to place my speakers farther apart without loosing any sound quality. Great wire for the price!

Went with this wire for my new speakers. A lot more quality then the other ones they have. The wire is thick and you can tell is made good. The only thing is I wish it had a color indicator I to which was black and red.

I needed speaker wire for an old school stereo system. The wire was easy to splice/connect to receiver and speakers and sound quality throughput from the receiver to my Klipsch KG 4 speakers is excellent.
