I needed an optical cable to connect a soundbar to a flat screen television that I recently mounted to a wall. I went with Rocketfish’s product as I had purchased another product from them and was very satisfied. Optical cord connections in general are pretty simple, just remember to take the plastic caps off. As far as the quality of the audio, the Rocketfish cord definitely delivers.

Optical cables can get pretty expensive. This one was a good price. The construction was put together very well with quality. This cable provide great sound and it was just the right length for my application, as I didn't need it to be too long.

I purchased this cable to connect Samsung TV to older stereo system through an optical cable to RCA red and white output for the stereo inputs. This worked well but the optical adapter sometimes needs to be reset by pulling out its power cable, nothing to do with this optic cable, I never touch it once it was installed. Main reason for buying this particular cable was it was available at best buy where the adapter was and it was shortest (4') but 2' would have been OK. I am thinking of redoing the adapter power from the tuner so that it is powered off and on with the tuner and see if that eliminates the ocassional adapter issue not working. Anyway the cable itself has been good. BTW, one or two sales persons told me there was no way to do this, but I kept looking and pursuing it until I found what I needed.

This cable was a little more expensive than a standard optical cable but after comparing both side by side, the Rocketfish wins. The clarity and range are noticeably better to a trained ear. In response to previous reviews regarding optical cables fitting loosely, that's because all optical cables come with a protective rubber tip on each end that you have to remove, otherwise the cable will never fit correctly. I suggest optical cables come with explicit instructions to remove these tips, otherwise it is very hard to figure this out as they appear to be a normal part of the cable. I hope this helps.

This cable was a great buy. I love the fact of the price and length of this cable was perfect. It makes my sound great and I use it with a pioneer sound system. Great buy!!!!!!!

This cable was decently priced and the correct length which I needed. It will take a lot to convince me that you need to spend a ton on optical cables as they all pass light. Sound quality is great.

Just brought a new 55" Sony HDTV for myself and a 50" Samsung HDTV for my sister. Even new TVs have horrible sound so I bought a sound bar for each of the TVs as well (Polk). The Cable that comes with the Polk sound bar has the thickness of "dental floss" and I couldn't get it to stay securely in the port. So, I went to Best Buy and purchased both the Rocketfish HDMI cable and the digital optical audio Cable. This is a great Cable - comes in various lengths and is a substantial but not bulky Cable.

Was having problems with AnyNet connecting to my home surround system over HDMI. Optical cable fixed the problem. Audio works every time and is great sounding.

This audio cable resolved my sound bar connection between my Samsung tv and Samsung sound bar. The tv had anynet+ but no arc. So using a hdmi cable will control the power and volume but will not out put sound from the sound bar. Hooking up the optical cable allowed sound out put. Hooking up the hdmi allowed controlling the volume. So you need to do both if you have the same issue. This is what Samsung doesn't really tell you.

The salesperson at Best Buy suggested getting this optical cable with the new purchase of our soundbar. There was a optical cable included with the soundbar but it was not as high quality as the Rocketfish cable. We wanted to make sure we had the best quality sound possible. We think we achieved that by buying this higher quality optical cable. It was easy to connect to both the Tv and soundbar.

I needed a cable for my home entertainment system and the tech at Best Buy recommended a Rocketfish cable. I'm glad I bought it because it's solid good looking and it was easy to install. I've never had a problem with it and I'm sure I won't because they're well-built and my system runs perfect. I never have a problem with anything bestbuycells to me

The Geek Squad set up the new TV and receiver. Because of the number of inputs vs. the number of items to hook up, they needed to use an optical cable. I didn't have one, but fortunately they brought some along just in case. I was worried that in a situation like that, the price of a cable would be higher. I felt it was a decent price, and the setup works just fine.

I would recommend using the Digital Optical Cable over the HDMI cable for the sound bar system since all you need is the sound. The HDMI splits the signal 50/50 for sound and visual. This way it doesn't matter what you are watching weather it be TV or BluRay. You just turn the Sound bar on and you won't have to go into the TV menu to tell it to use the Sound bar.

I purchased a 4K TV and a DVD to go with it. The salesman recommended that I get this cable because of the quality of the picture when watching blu ray DVDs. The quality of the picture is very clear and the equipment he recommended works perfectly. Especially like the fact that the length was perfect for the distance I needed.

Bought this cable to replace the thin one that came with the system. The Rocketfish is definitely has a better fitting plugs. couldn't tell about the overall sound quality improvement but did notice that the bass is more prominent at low volume and loudness did improve somewhat. It is a lower price alternative to an upgrade cable. If your ear is looking for brighter sound difference, you have to pay a lot more money.

I purchased this for use with my Bose Solo 15. The sound quality is as expected with crisp highs and great lows. I always except this company's products to perform and it did as expected. The price is well worth the quality. You get what you pay for.

The best cable to use. Easy to install. Cuts down on messiness usually found with wiring. I find this type of cable brings out the best audio in devices. I highly recommend this cable to anyone who wants quality in their audio video systems.
