I had purchased a DAC to connect to a TV to use as a headphones jack (TV has no headphone jack). It came with an optical cable, but I was not able to hear anything through my headphones connected to the DAC. I purchased this cable to see if the one that came with the DAC was good or defective. I got no sound using this cable, either. I tried the setup on an older TV and both cables work and allow me to use the DAC to hear the TV through headphones. Since I got the cable on sale, I just decided to keep it as it seems to be better built.

This cable transmits the sound very well. Once yoou take off the little plastic caps! had a hard time fiting until we did that. works fine now

Needed an optical cable for a sound bar which didn't include one. This one is nice quality and the perfect length for my setup.

This was a Best Buy deal of the day. I bought it immediately because it was such a great price. It was priced considerably less than I paid for another brand I am currently using. I didn't really need the new one at the moment, but for its low price, it was cheap insurance. Since I was asked to review this cable, I unplugged the old cable and plugged in this new cable. I detected no difference in the audio/video performance, so I concluded it delivers equal performance for a much lower price.

Great quality and price. If you are looking for an entry level optical cable, this is the route to go. Will definitely buy again if needed.

bought an 8 ft. cable then realized it was too long, so returned it for a 4 ft. one. just perfect. makes good connection, sound on TV better.

They are a good length. The provide digital audio to my surround sound system. They work. So yeah. Not much to say.

this item was so easy to setup.the packaging was right the price was acceptable. the availability was great. i also liked the features, the color the length.i wou;ld definately buy ithwer products here at best buy.sales persons are always available when needed.as i said befoe best buy will always be my first choice when it comes to electronics.

easy to use works perfectly i need another for my other sound bar. I had one for a year and it didn't work till i both this.

This will add better sound to your sound bar than the connectors included with the sound bar. Worth the few extra bucks.

Provides an excellent transfer of sound thru our surround system. I would recommend going with the longer cable.

Works great, easy to install, links my Blu-ray player to a Yamaha sound bar and makes a HUGE difference in the audio.

Strong wires and works better than others. I use for the TV sound to speaker and from speaker to labtop. It was also on sale so very good deal on pricing compared to others.

I guess this cable helps to provide a better sound. I haven't used any other so it's kind of hard to tell if it does or not. Easy to use. Just plug it into your soundbar and TV.
