Needed this cable because we upgraded our TV and this was the only sound output! Had to buy a converter to RCA cables to get my old receiver working again. Got this item on-sale otherwise would have probably purchased a less expensive one.

I had to connect my Vizio TV to my Samsung Blu-ray player using regular gold plated high definition cable's and it would not connect in case you have this problem know that these optic cables will help solve that problem and it has beautiful picture as well

I purchased this to run the surround sound from my Bluray system through my normal tv sound. We could not get the surround sound when watching tv, only when we had a DVD in. Now we have it all the time. It's very simple to do and the sound is great!

Used this to connect my sound bar to the Roku, I'm not interested in an expensive home theater setup, but we do have a satellite receiver, a DVD player, and a kind of "smart" tv. The salesperson suggested this and it did the trick, easy for me to set up.

Great product for the money. I lost my optical cable during a move and headed to Best Buy to get another one. Simple to use just plug and play. I also purchased the rocket fish swivel tv mount while I was there. Quality product at a reasonable price.

A very well made cable that feels like quality as you hook it up. Also bought a cheap one at Walmart the same day. You get what you pay for. Cheap one was like a curly noodle. Had to be taped to a stick to route behind some components.

Bought this in a pinch. It's a bit pricier than other options you can find, but I needed one right then. I use this for passing audio on my audio recording interfaces. Works fine. Haven't had any issues. Seems to be well constructed and should last a while.

Bought a new 4K television and then a 4K disc player at a later date. Went back to the store asking how to connect the two. THAT'S when they said I needed this cable. Made the connection a snap. Glad though the store is close by!

Not much to say about an optical cable but this one is a good buy. The cable is long enough to give you some maneuverability when installing. The cable also feels very durable. Very happy with quality from rocketfish

And excellent product and a real problem solver. Was having problems with obtaining sound from tv. Tried many recommended connections to no avail, including tv set-up guide. Decided on my own to try these cables and problem solved.

Purchased this optical cable to replace one that quit working. It was a much more substantial one than the one I was replacing and the sound was incredibly better. Now I can really appreciate my sound bar. It has never sounded so good!

Perfect connection for my home theater player. With some devices having fewer connections, the optical audio cable was the right choice for my home theater system. Plus the quality of the sound is outstanding.

I bought this on sale "Deal of the Day". Had I known how well it was made I would have purchased two. IMPORTANT: remember to pull the little plastic caps off of the ends BEFORE you plug it into your devices.

Makes my sound bar produce better audio instead of using a regular rca cable, couldve been a little longer in length for an easier connection to the tv to the sound bar but overall hapy with this product.

Unless you have some sort of electro-mechanical degree, reviews are useless. You plug this in. It works. If it doesn't, you plugged it wrong, or bought the wrong cable. It's not rocket science. (Rocketfish, yes.)

The cable worked fine and no problems. I had not used an optical cable before, and some instructions on dust caps and how to ensure a good connection would have been helpful. Also, some notes on keeping the cable ends clean and what would contaminate them would have also been helpful.
