The side approach for this adapter allowed me to set-up the mount without destroying drywall or getting any professional modifications to the wall plug.

This was just what we needed in the way of additional outlets and USB ports, short of actually re-wiring the box! And, with the additional surge protection, they really are perfect for what I wanted. I did purchase these on a daily special, and I'm very happy that I get the daily e-mails!

Allows you to continue to protect your device while making things simple.the only draw back was it does prevent you from angling your tv down.
