Nice to not Manually Switch HDMI Devices

This has saved us so much time when we want to use different HDMI devices. The remote struggles to work from distances, and it sometimes takes a few tries to get it to switch which port we want active, but it's still much better than having to turn the TV, unplug a device, and plug in another one. All systems plugged into this device have functioned exactly as they should.

Good HDMI Switch with Minor Flaws

Pros: - Automatic switching! You don't have to use the remote (more on this later) - 4K resolutions work well - No input lag - Can be powered by USB A to USB Micro instead of the AC adapter Cons: - Occasional signal issues with HD60S capture card. Sometimes it won't display or displays the incorrect resolution - The remote control is the same frequency as other RocketFish switches, even if they're different models. The remote for this controls my switch in another room ): Overall, the unit works well and is well built. I don't know for sure if the signal issues with capture cards is because of this device or the capture card. However, another HDMI switch I'm using works flawlessly with my capture card. A good option if it's on sale!

This product is very useful and easy to use. It works very well and definitely makes it possible to add everything you need to a television that has limited HDMI ports. This was a great investment.

works much better than the other ones I've had and even has remote control that the others didn't have. Only drawback is that I wish the number 1 input was on the back, that really doesn't hurt anything.

That's great to hear the Rocketfish 4-Port HDMI Switch Box is working much better than your previous ones and that you appreciate the added convenience of the remote control! We also appreciate your feedback about the placement of the number 1 input. It's valuable to know what could further enhance the user experience, even if it's a minor point for you. We're glad it's otherwise meeting your needs so well! Jeth | Rocketfish™ Support. BBY-ExBrand_RocketFish

I bought a new 60-inch TV, but it only had 2 HDMI ports, and I had 4 devices so I needed additional ports. I walked into Best Buy and told an associate my needs. He walked straight back to the display and put this unit in my hands. I bought it, took it home, and it was a simple install. Now I don't need to hit "source" on my TV remote, I just lightly tap the small remote number, and it quickly changes to the correct device. I couldn't be more pleased.

Simple to use. I was surprised at first that it requires a power cable to function. It makes it simple to have a single HDMI cable run into your TV and have multiple devices hooked up so you don't have to always change the input settings on your TV. The included remote makes it simple too.

Needed 1 or 2 extra HDMI ports and this switcher provides great functionally. I did have my Amazon Fire TV connected thru it along with cable box and blu-ray player but every once in a while I would get flickering on TV with the Fire TV. I reconfigured the HDMI so that the Fire TV went directly into my OLED TV instead and everything works fine now.

The product itself is great! It works flawlessly with my Samsung tv. No matter which device I turn on, it automatically changes to that number and kicks on the tv. That being said, don’t buy open box unless you plan to open it and inspect it in front of the Best Buy employees. I chose the open box option because it was quite a bit cheaper. I remember that I wondered if I should check the box when they handed it to me just to make sure everything was there. But then I noticed a seal they had put on it that said Best Buy open box guarantee and it said that they had thoroughly inspected to make sure that all originally parts were there. I go to hook it up and realize there’s no power cord. I checked with the manufacturer and that was absolutely supposed to come with the product. Luckily I had a cable here at the house that worked for it to have power.

this box is so cool, i now have all of my devices hooked up to my 1 HDMI port connected to Samsungs auto switch and this Rocketfish switch. It is super awesome with 2 exceptions, i wish it didnt need power like the Samsung, it would be nice going thruogh a USB, and the remote that comes with it is pure garbage. They need to fix that, i mean its a huge turn off for me

Exactly what I was looking for! Allowed me to not have to wire more HDMI cables through the wall from my TV. My current, in wall, HDMI cable just plugs into the new Rocket Fish and then add additional HDMI cables from there. I have one going to my cable box, Switch, and Xbox. All you do is switch to whichever divide you want to use with the provided remote. Great buy. Strongly recommend!

I bought this box because it was the only one that came with a remote.I didn’t want to have to get up to switch it manually. The remote is disappointing. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn’t and I have to get up and change it by touch. The box itself is very good, but not worth the $80 that I paid.

This product works exactly as it's supposed to. It is of good quality and installation is easy enough. However my entertainment setup is not very common, so I'm having some issues are not necessarily the products fault, but I'd like to let other consumers with similar setups know what they are. With certain Sony TVs hooked up to a PS4, you can usually control media and menus on the console using the TV remote. This is done my sending the remote signal over HDMI to the console, but it does not work through this switch box. I have my gaming PC hooked up to a monitor and my TV. If the switch box is powered down, content on the PC will display properly on the PC monitor. But as soon as the switch box is powered on the PC recognizes that another display has been connected, even if the box is set to a different input. I won't go into all the details, but it can really be a pain if you're not ready for that do happen.

I am very happy with this unit! A bit pricy, how ever, a good solution to limited HDMI connection ports on a 4K TV upgrade. Has one input at the front, three more inputs on back, as well as one HDMI out and the power plug in. It has a remote control to switch signal source. How ever I prefer the touch sensitive feature on the front numerical and lighted feature. I would of rather it included a 6 ft 4H HDMI cable instead of the remote control.

    Manage Multiple Media Devices Easily

This switch has been terrific in managing our multiple media devices and their HDMI cables. We have a Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Fire Stick plugged in and it renders the video in full HD with no issues. Where we used to have unplug and swap out every time we wanted to use more than 2, now we simply use the remote. Most of the time, it automatically switches to whatever device is powered on. My one complaint (and a small one at that) is that the remote is pretty small and feels a little flimsy, but other than that, this is well worth the price.
