    The same problem with my original apple lightning charger... It got that short in it from a manufacturing flaw in the wires... Adapter works best!

    Love this HDMI cord, only paid 10$, which how much HMDI cords should be honestly. Anything more than 15$ is robbery. The wire is thin and very easy to twist and turn. It's easier to plug in and out unlike some HDMI cables and the gold plated heads make the quality of the video and audio much better than the silver plated heads.
