It takes up both outlets, however you get the 6 outlets in place of and 2 USB ports. Also, the outlets, as 2 units, rotate to the sides and click into place.

I have less clutter and more ways to power my devices. It even has two USB ports for whenever I need to charge my phone or any of my other devices

So, this is over my need definitely. But, it should be the best outlet you can get right now to place behind your TV set.

We have a 65gallon fish tank that you can’t move and being able to get behind to the plug now is much easier with this. Would recommend if you have cabinets and space is limited. If space is not an issue there are cheaper options out there.

It plugs into the wall so it doesn't clutter the floor. The outlets swivel to the side so you can put equipment closer to the wall. I like the USB chargers on top.
