The first two I purchased have protected equipment and remained functional through several severe thunderstorms this year. Better than a powerstrip

Cords are no longer on the floor to trip over or have small child hands pulling on them.

Semi-concealed by the black color from see through tv/computer stands i.e. no white boxes showing. They work great and have had no trouble with them. I have about 4 or 5 I have gradually bought over the years.
