    I may not have read the description very well, but was surprised to find that one plug can control several of the others like an on/off switch. I was glad to find that you can override that feature and make it "normal". We have not had the electricity go off since I plugged it in so I can not say that it worked for that. Otherwise, it has been working fine.

    The 7 outlet surge protector has enough outlets. They are spaced properly so it is easy to plug in the plugs. Comes with enough wire to be far enough from outlet yet enough to get your plugs to it. Great size so it does not get in the way. Colors stand out make it easy to see how to plug in the plugs. Switch is great size to be able to turn on.
