Good quality typical flat screen TV, BUT...

This Samsung Smart TV, 43" UHD TV, NU7100 series, is a typical flat-screen smart Ultra HDTV. I tried a new brand first that was over $100 cheaper, but the picture quality was poor. So I returned it for a tried and true Samsung. Everything about this TV is typical Samsung quality (I also have a 10-year old Samsung smart TV), EXCEPT for the viewing angle, which is really quite disappointing. Get more than 45 deg to the side and the colors and contrast fade considerably. I've tried different settings and nothing makes it better. My 5 year old Visio AND my 10 year old Samsung have much wider viewing angles without substantial fade. This must be why Samsung failed to include any mention of viewing angle in their specs (at least I couldn't find any mention). If there is any fix to improve this, I haven't found it. I should have taken time to read the reviews, because this is a common complaint from owners of this model. Other features are common among new TV sets. I would look for a different brand and check the viewing angle specs and reviews before purchasing any new TV. Shame on me for assuming Samsung quality of the past.

2 out of 6 did not work

After going through the pain of getting them in the wall we could not get our dvd player to work or a cable signal. We purchased 6, the 2 that happen to be in same wall did not work. Lucky I guess?? We then plugged our old HDMI that was not in the wall and the dvd player and cable work. We still have to return the two cables and replace them with working ones. Right now we have our old cables hanging along the wall on our wall mounted TV which is the look we wanted to avoid. The other 4 cables in the other walls with TVs work well. Word of advice, check and make sure cables work before putting them in the wall and hanging a really heavy TV.

Got 3 of these HDMI cord because I had none for my new flat screen TV! I couldn't hook anything up! You'd think they would come with the TV. Anyway, my surge protector is the same brand, grounded with copper, cord length "middle of the road" and it's doing it's job. Very happy with my choice. Not too pricey and I like them.

Other than AV Cables being in the box I am satisfied with Best Buy Products overall. I did not return the AV cables because I had a need for them. I would have rated the product higher had HDMI cables been in the box. I do have HDMI Cables from this company and they work just fine. I have recommended them to friends, with a proviso that the box be opened and checked.

This HDMI cable is suburb when it comes to robustness and being able to withstand a bunch. The first plug in, I head a snap, so I thought that was $40 down the drain, but everything was fine. Turns out it was just a really tight fit. However, I haven't noticed any performance of viewing quality upgrades of cheaper cables, so unless you plan throwing cables around like David, opting for a cheaper cable may be better for you budget.

I was having issues between the 4K Apple TV and the LG OLED TV. I bought one of these cables hoping it would help, but it didn't do anything any different. The cable I replaced is one I had for several years... The cable does work fine otherwise. I was able to get the ATV to sleep when the home theater turned off. This made it renegotiate the HDCP 2.2 and it all worked.

I've read over and over about the "quality" of HDMI. There's really no reason to buy one brand over another or one that boasts of gold or better contacts. They are all the same. HDMI is HDMI because it's digital. I only bought this because there was a special if you bought it and a Rocketfish power strip and I needed both. You should be willing to pay a little more for a longer cable, but that's it.

after being urged by our salesperson (who doesn't work on commission) that we absolutely needed these wires...we bought them. I cant say they are good or bad. I wish I had the tv initially connected without them so that I could comment on the difference after they were added. The fact is we love the picture on our new tv...Im just not sure how much of a role the upgraded. wires play. sorry

    Quality Cable but Overpriced

The cable is definitely a quality cable but the price is unnecessarily high. Cables, even quality cables, are a commodity item. No manufacturer should make poorly-made cables, period, and even quality cables should be low-to-moderately priced. Final take: a well-made cable but I recommend looking for a better-priced alternative.

As far as performance, there is little difference compared to much less expensive cables. I bought this at a considerable discount through one of BB's Daily Deals. Otherwise, I would not have purchased. I cannot recommend this based on it's price.

This cable is way too expensive for what it is. You can get an Insignia cable that has the same specs, same length, for half or even less of the price of this. Yes, this cable looks better, but if you're doing it right, you'll never see the cable again anyway.

This Cable's Construction Quality is Excellent. I Change it Often Between My XBOX ONE and My PS4 and Haven't Had Any Issues With The HDMI Connections Separating From The Cable as I Have These Issues With Other Brands.. So Far So Good.. If The Price Was Reduced It Would Be a Great Value For The Buck!

I am a very high-tech person knows how to do these things but I am stump as far as why this was so difficult.. My TV was is a Sharp 70 ''..

Amazon basics cables are significantly cheaper and get the job done. These are just over priced. All an HDMI cable does is pass the signal down to the device, paying more for an HDMI cable is not worth it. Get the high speed amazon basics cables.

One day, I hope HDMI cables come down to the price of USB cables. If you are using this to connect from laptop to a monitor, this definitely does the trick. No experience with TV connections.

My Monitor start getting dark for 2-3 seconds from time to time and look like HDMI cable can be blamed. I god a new one, top of the line.. I connected and it feels much better and more solid, but not see a quality improvement in resolution and It's much more expensive.

I normally don’t pay more than $10 for an HDMI cable, but I was in a pinch and needed one right away to go with a new UHD Blu-ray player gift. It does what it’s suppised to, not worth the premium price though

I don't know if the breaking up I see is coming from my Directv hookup or something else. I'm not up on tech things so I can't rate this product either way. I had the tech do the installation for this reason.

I needed two new cables and was shown this from the specialist to work for my new system. It seems that the HDMI cables are a tad pricey for what they are. Otherwise it does what it needs to do.
