So... for some reason, our last surge protector melted... (different brand/model & 2 years old) Well, at least we now know what that smell was! This one worked so well for us with the available outlets (USB/Power/Coax), that we bought a 2nd for our computer room. The electrical outlet configuration was useful for the brick/larger plugs or the plugs that the cord goes out the side. Because of this, we were able to connect a lot more devices with no wasted outlets. I know that one person indicated that his connection speed for the network jack dropped to 100Mbps (from 1Gbps) when using it. I am not personally using the network outlet because, as a network engineer, I would expect that to happen. It is just a fact of the technology involved.

I accidentally dropped my phone on the power button of this product (silly, clumsy me), resulting in it constantly turning on and off. It shorted out the power in my apartment 3 TIMES. However, with this product, all of my equipment was completely safe and remained undamaged. One could argue it's too fragile, but you shouldn't be dropping phones on your surge protectors anyways, especially not a direct hit onto the power button.

I recently purchased a new Samsung Q90T and a PS5. I had a very old Monster Cable surge protector (pre 2010). The Best Buy tech highly recommended upgrading my surge protector after i told him what I was currently using. Not sure if this one is a huge improvement in quality or performance compared to my Monster surge protector but I figured with my new expensive devices and the age of my old one, it couldn't hurt to upgrade. Works great for what it is and offers lots of space in-between each outlet so you can plug everything in without it being overly cramped. Would recommend if you are looking to upgrade audio/video equipment, have an old protector and have an extra 75+ bucks to spare. Definitely recommend if you don't have one at all. Protect those devices!!

Being a working musician, even though I have permanent power supply that remains in a fixed position on my pedalboard; I was in need of additional power outlets for other pieces of equipment such as my computer and mixing consoles. Fortunately, Rocketfish via Best Buy was my best solution. On most power strips, the plugs are all in a one directional configuration thus making it difficult to plug in certain types of power supplies that extend or cover some of the other outlets you could be utilizing. Rocketfishs' power supply has outlets on both sides eliminating the problem of covered plugs. Great price and a quality product as far as surge protectors go. Get yours today at best buy and leave your power worries behind.

Lifesaver essentially. Very much like the positioning of the outlets on this. My home is a little “odd” when it comes to wall outlets and this solved that for me. It’s large enough for great accessibility to many outlets - sleek enough to not appear bulky and out of place. The USB ports and surge protection are excellent features as well. Definitely worth it and true value add to my home at the price point!

I have these for all of my tv's and computer. I wish there was one for the main breaker. We get horrible lightening storms and ive been hit and lost a computer nad other items that were plugged in.

I've got 5 of these units. No issues, no problems and provides more joule protection than similar surge protectors. Just the right number of outlets, well spaced. I use one unit to protect one Dell laptop workstation and a 40" Dell monitor; one Dell laptop workstation, one visiontek 4510, and two 32" Dell UHD monitors; one 16" macbook pro and two LG 27" 5K monitors; one Dell laptop workstation, one visiontek 4510, and 2 - 32" Samsung AM702 monitors. Supply chain shortages have affected these types of devices too. Highly recommended.

I bought this Rocketfish 8 Outlet Surge Protector to replace a surge protector that I had for over thirty years. I use it on my desktop computer. The Rocketfish is more up to date and works very well. I can also charge my headphones, etc. with the USB chargers on it.

The Rocketfish 8 Outlet Surge Protector Strip is great, and a bargain for the price. I needed to purchase several surge protectors recently, and the Rocketfish works just as well as the more expensive item I also purchased. It is durable and easy to place on the floor so that it is out of the way, but still accessible. I would definitely buy it again.

Nice power strip! feels like a nice quality construction. looks great and has worked great for the 2 years I've had it.

PLEASE READ.....Not all surge protectors are made equally! This one is perfect for PC and TV's but you don't want to go cheap on surge protection. I can't tell you how many people buy the cheapest surge protector and then still have issues losing their components. Talk to the BestBuy representatives and they will help you get the correct surge protector for your uses/needs and at the right quality level. This one is awesome and works as intended.

As far as the plug layout, this is pretty good for a power strip. The variable spacing allows for different power cords to be plugged in. Haven't used the grounded coax or ethernet lines yet, but that's an added bonus. The On/Off switch is easy to press and not super flimsy nor super rigid. As far as surge protecting, I have my TV, Internet Router and modem, DVR, and Lamps all plugged into it and it works great.

So far so good. I lost a 55” Sony tv as a lightning strike came through my cable wire burning out my tv box and my Sony tv. This unit protects your tv from electrical surge as well as your cable wire. It has several plugins for your additional devices.

I love the number of outlets on this! I’ve never had any issues with it, and I’ve owned it for almost a year now. I feel safer having my expensive electronics plugged into this.

I've bought 5 of these around the house and have had the other 4 the last 3 years without any problems. I picked this one up on sale and so far like the others, no issues. I like that it has the electric noise decibal noise cancelling of 47 db in it. I try to have all of my audio receivers (have 4 in the house) connected to one of these. Great product, both the 8 and 12 outlet rocket fish surge protectors. Don't cheap out on these, with your spendy TV and audio equipment!

I was looking around something to protect the tv. Our 2 1/2 yr old tv just stopped working and wont turn on. Not sure if it got short circuit. Or its just a lemon or bad samsund model. So when we got a new one, we dont want to risk it and got this to protect the tv. So far no complains. From what i have read, the higher the joules, the better it protects your electronics.

Does what it's supposed to do, and seems to work well. No power issues, everything works. I don't use the coax or ethernet ports, so I can't speak to them, but the rest is great.

This power strip helped me manage my entertainment center for my living room perfectly. I was able to plug all the gaming consoles, TV and sound system to it. We can even charge our phones with the USBs. I also got it on sale in store which was a plus.

I installed two of these a couple of weeks ago and they're working fine. One includes a TV and one a desktop computer and printers. Good access to the plugs. Ran the TV coaxial cable through the ports. We had a thunderstorm that had a couple of clocks elsewhere blinking but these strips handled it fine.
