Purchased these for a bedroom setup. Not the same quality as Audioquest, but for the money a solid runner up. If you're looking to set up a home theatre, buy the Audioquest version of these. If it's an auxiliary system, these will suit your needs wonderfully. Simple to install, work well, haven't had an issue.

The banana plugs really didn't serve the purpose. I bought them thinking it would make it easier to connect my new Bowers-Wilkins speakers. It didn't work out. In a nutshell the inner pin does not hold the speaker wire contact, even with the spacer provided.

As my title says, I find these to be well built and solid. I was very happy to purchase these instead of cheaper, plastic banana plugs. These puppies close very firmly, make a strong connection with the plug, and have some heft to them. What I'm not sure about, and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is the method by which you connect your speaker wire to them. Now I must add one caveat -- I was using 18-gauge wire and the package does say "for 12 - 16 gauge" and I fully understand why now. 18-gauge wire is really too small and connecting these is made rather difficult and uncertain using wire that small. To connect, you unscrew the two pieces, cut your speaker wire (do NOT strip the wire), slide the back shell over the wire and then slip on a small, plastic, compression "nut" that will hold the wire firmly in place. Finally, slide the center of your wire, with insulation still on, over the metal pin that pokes from the back of the front (plug) portion. This pin is supposed to slide inside the speaker wire insulation to make the connection. Well, with 18 gauge wire, it is pretty difficult to push in the pin and confirm the connection. To complete the assembly, screw the back shell onto the front section and you're done. So I highly recommend these banana plugs and strongly encourage you to use 12-, 14-, or 16-gauge speaker wire.

Pro: Make speaker hookup/disconnect so much quicker and easier Con: Poorly crafted instructions for how to connect the banana plugs to the speaker wire. (you don't need to strip the wire ends!) Con: the ends are rather large which can make it difficult to feed through small openings if needing to go through walls etc. (feed the wire first then install the plugs to the wire) Overall I am very satisfied with their performance and once i overcame the learning curve/best practices it was smooth sailing.

These banana plugs made my wiring look so much better. Prior to utilizing these plugs and I had a difficult time moving my receiver and wires. With these plugs, I just unplug and plug it back in when I need to get to the back of the receiver and try new speakers. In addition, it gives it a professional install look if anyone looks in the back of the receiver.

    Sure Beats Bare Wires

I had to rewire my rear speakers (of 5, excluding bass) and was tired of trying and failing to thread bare wires into very awkward, hard-to-get-to, tight holes in my Pioneer receiver. These sounded fairly easy to install as the product stated stripping was typically not necessary - great, I thought. After installing these on 5 speakers, only 2 worked. Re-did the connections by stripping 1/4" and spreading speaker wire into a fan shape, and success. So despite the need to strip, the ease of using banana plugs was definitely worth it. It would be nice though if the instructions showed/stated the most effective method of how to strip/prepare the wire if stripping is needed, as there is nothing at all on that.

Easy to use connectors that feel high quality. The rubber molding can get in the way of thick (12ga+) wiring but that just means you have to strip further back. Connection is solid and cleans up your wiring installations nicely.

Easy to assemble. Solid connections. Replaced cheap plugs that were worthless (wasted $ attempting to save). These are pricey but recommend you go for these if you want quality connections. Did not strip 14 gauge wire and worked perfectly.

Wish I had discovered the banana plugs for my receiver long ago. Installation was confusing at first until I realized trimming the speaker wire wasn’t required, a practice I’d been utilizing forever with various home audio components over the years! This saves immense headaches trying to tighten speaker wire connections to the leads, not to mention wear and tear on your hands!!! Instructions are easy to follow! When the plugs are ready simply connect them to an A/R receiver capable of using the banana plugs! Connections are solid with no degradation in sound quality. Plugs are tightly connected to the speaker wires, just follow the included instructions and your good to go! Convenient and hassle free if you need to disconnect/replace speakers!

Why pay for Monster Brand when Rocket Fish Banana Clips provide the same quality at an affordable price. Very easy to install and provide a solid connection. The supplied "O" Rings for specific wire gauges assures that the clips fit properly.

I used the Rocketfish banana plugs to hook up my new home theater! These are the best plugs I have ever used! I use the plugs to connect my speakers to the receiver. They are easy to use. The plugs are gold plated and help deliver a crisp and clear sound from my TV, my ipod, my blu ray player and the receiver! Whatever I play through the receiver sounds awesome! I saw the Rocketfish plugs elsewhere for a much higher price! But, I have bought these from Best Buy in the past, so I knew where to go once I got my new receiver!! My son had no idea what Rocketfish banana plugs were!! He knows now and plans to buy some for his stereo hookup!! Rocketfish plugs help ROCK my sound!!!!! Thanks Best Buy, this is a great product at a great price!

I purchased these as my surround sound receiver recently went out and it was a pain to get down behind my entertainment center to make the connections and screw down the posts on the back of the receiver. These allow you to make the connections while out from behind your entertainment center and then just plug them into the appropriate place on the back of the receiver. I'm not sure why I didn't get something like these to begin with. The connections are solid and I don't have any worries about them coming loose or causing sound quality issues.

Stepped up my speaker wire to 12 gague from 16. These plugs made this a snap, no tools needed!! Just cut wire to length, following instructions. The plugs slide into my speakers and my receiver ( how time saving is that) 7.1, remember one channel takes 4 plugs ( receiver and speaker connection ) and the 10 package comes in handy!! Also love the price. The combination large wire and plugs my system is breathtaking even at lower levels ( clarity, separation, detail )
