I didn't start using banana plugs until about 8 months ago. What was I thinking. If you're a do-it-yourselfer and are setting up or redoing your stereo (especially surround sound systems), spend a few extra minutes using banana plugs. It'll save you many headaches. These by Rocketfish were really easy to work with compared to some others I found online.

I had never installed a banana plug on my speaker wire before I purchased these. Installation was very and no soldering was required. Best bang for the buck!

I was actually introduced to banana plugs by my grandpa and I've never looked back. Banana plugs are a must for anyone who uses an amp. They take the hassle out of hooking up speakers. No more trying to keep the wires into those special screw down clamps on the back of the amp, just put these on the ends of your wires and they plug right into the back of your amp.

Once the banana plugs are connected to the speaker wire, the plugs definitely do not diminish sound quality. Like many banana plugs they can be a bit of a pain to get them set properly. Thicker gauge wire helps tremendously.

This products are user friendly, it's easy to set up and good quality.

I'm unsure why there are so many negative posts on these... They can be a bit of a hassle to tighten up, and the instructions could be better, but they definitely work, and it isn't rocket science

Okay, so it's not exactly an item where one might expect a review, but here's my two cents, for whatever it's worth. Since most speakers (and some electronic components) come with the female side of the hookup, why not pick up a connective accessory to make things a bit easier. It sure beats the heck out of turning a small size knob and feeding a wire through a hole that is nigh impossible to locate without a flashlight and a magnifying glass. And then there's the slight chance of damaging or breaking the wire, making the whole " wire stripping thing" necessary... AGAIN! Just add these to the end of your already-stripped wire, and plug them into your favorite pair of speakers. Besides, they are color-coded red and black for that "Keep it simple, Stupid" principle. So, get yourself some of these, and forego the headaches associated with speaker or component hookups without them!

Installation was very easy. Plug in is nice and firm.

I have used many brands of banana plugs over the years and these are probably the best. When you consider ease of connection and the price compared to other brands it would be hard to find a better one. I have tried some less expensive brands and they were harder to use and I can't see how the pricier ones would be any better.

The first word that comes to mind is solid. These banana plugs are sturdy, compact, and gold plated. Installation was very simple. I recommend these for anyone with a beginner to moderate system setup.

Banana plugs are a must have for anyone who owns a receiver.. these make it infinitely more bearable operating behind the receiver. My only complaint is that they would not work with the 14 gauge speaker wire I purchased.
