Purchased a second set for my DefTech setup. The first set are used for the speaker end and have held up very well dispite constant plug/unplugging for furniture rearrangement. This set will be used for the receiver connector ends.

    Once Great Look Elsewhere

These were once great banana plugs until they decided to change the design. The old design you had to strip a quarter inch of insulation from the cable and and spread the copper strands and push them down on a spline and then screw them together. The connection was Rock Solid they never came off and we were a hundred percent better. These new ones rely on a push pin connector and compression collars and the connection isn't nearly as good and they tend to fall off if the compression collars don't squeeze tight enough around the cable. I ended up tinning and soldering the connection to the inside of the banana plug to get them to stay in place. And God forbid you should lose a compression collar then you're stuck. All-in-all I wouldn't buy them again and I wish Best Buy would go back to the old design of spreading the copper strands over splines and screwing them together much better connection and they don't come apart ever. I'll be looking elsewhere for a different brand.

I bought these plugs to use with my new entertainment center. They fit my Pioneer receiver perfectly, but did not plug in all the way on my Definitive speakers. A shorter pin would work better for that brand of speakers.

If you’re looking to make wiring your home theatre system easier, look no further! 10 of these bad boys is only enough to secure your speaker wire to your receiver for 5 speakers, so make sure you’ve enough!

These plug-in wire connectors are easy to set up with your existing speaker cables. Once you do the first one it's very easy to duplicate to attach all the others. Nice snug plugin and easy to remove if needed.

Makes it so much easier to plug your speakers in to the receiver. but if you are setting up for atmos you will need more than come in this package. These are great when you have 7 speaker to hook up to your receiver.

I currently have a denon x2300 receiver with the 5.2 klipsch reference speakers and decided to go with the cheapest magnolia certified speaker wire and have no distortion problems or cracking noises when subwoofers hit hard.

Package should come in quantities of either 4 (A pair of speakers), 6 (a pair + center speaker, or other multiples of various combo's. Solid contruction, nice assembly instructions and appear to be a durable item.

The audio plugs were my third purchase, as it make life so much easer to connect, remove or relocate my speakers or equipment. As easy as plug and unplug, compared to twisting knobs and trying to fish wires through a hole.

Well... should you purchase this clips? Yep! But not for the reason you would think.... I did not know about these things until I was in the Best Buy purchasing my receiver and the Best Buy stereo representative said that I needed them. I was so happy with the price of the receiver as I caught it on sale, that I was like sure... Throw them in as I will still be under budget for this purchase. Sooooo.... Should you buy these because they are going to make your system sound great? No... I bought my Technics rack system in 1995 and just ran the wires directly into the receiver and the speakers and had absolutely no problems. Should you buy these because they make connecting to today's receivers alot easier? Yep! It was easier to plug these speakers into today's receiver's than to wrap the speaker wire around the poles. The other benefit of the clips is supposed to be minimize electrical shortages and stripping the wire. Like I said, I had my Technics over 20 years and that was not a problem. Soooo... the 4 stars is that the clips are more than average, but not really deserving of 5 stars. Now that I think about it... I think they are overpriced. I think a fair price for a pack of 10 is likely $8.99. Anything above that makes them expensive.... In either case, good luck....

I usually solder all my connectors, having wired up many recording studiios. I was surprised how well these banana plugs went together with just a twist, and have been using them for months now with no problems.
