They work very well with a quality stranded speaker wire of 14 & 16 gage. Don't work at all with the lower quality "builder grade" of speaker wire most builder choose to prewire new homes with.

Easy to Connect

The Rocketfish are worth the money because they are easy to connect (solid contact) and don't seem like they will pull apart as long as you use the correct spacer (2 sizes included) and strip enough shielding off the speaker wire. Much better than trying to thread speaker wires on the back of surround sound receiver/amp.
