Works pretty well sometime the compression ring turn sideways when tightening but overall a good product

Difficult to wire, and then the wiring does not stay. This item does not simplify the set up process.

These banana plugs have to be the worst. Hard to connect wires.

Not too user friendly. Overpriced. I would return if the store was closer.

I had a few issues with these where a few of the wires removed from banana plug.

I thought I needed these to connect my surround but didn't so I returned them.

Connection is difficult to attach to wires and does not make a strong connection.

Terrible experience connecting to wire and then just fell off

I had intended on using these for the bedroom theater setup. Using 14 gauge speaker wire, these plugs would just not latch onto the cable. Tried numerous times, but there was just never a strong connect + the plugs would pull from the cable too easily. The Monster have a more solid screw mechanism. For the additional $10-$15, it's worth it to go with a different brand. I'm a fan of Rocketfish speaker cable and HDMI cables, but these fell short.

I used these with 16 gauge Rocketfish speaker wire and had no problem installing these. There are two sizes of small compression collars - the smaller is allegedly for 16 gauge, but I had to use the larger (for 12-14 gauge) to get it to fit over the plastic sheathing. Since these do not require stripping the wires, the thickness of the plastic sheathing is the real determinate. But the wire sheathing has to be substantial enough (stiff enough) so the center pin stays in contact with the metal wire as you screw the two part back together. I used them to connect to my speakers where there is limited space to try to get a stripped wire connected. Worked very well for those situations. But I still use stripped wires to connect to my receiver or to some of my speakers with the spring loaded devices.

Product is designed to be hard to use and user un-friendly!! Get banana plugs with screws instead of these. Had to re-do all of these because the wires get caught in the threads. Go with the monster quick connects or the cheaper brand I went with that tightens the wire with a screw. Took 5 minutes to do 24 connections!!
